~ Aickmann to Douglas Brenneman. |
Dr. Aickmann is the secondary antagonist of Scott Ciencin’s Silent Hill comic Hunger. He is a doctor who works at Brookhaven Hospital and is responsible for kidnapping women to use them as “broodmares” for Whately’s plan.
Biography[]
Most of Aickmann’s background remains unknown other than being a doctor at Brookhaven Hospital and came to contract by Whately to help him find and procure women who are capable of nurturing the unborn forms of the entity known as Samael. The doctor was also known for engaging in sexual role play and bondage with his nurse. When madness began in Silent Hill, Aickmann went on a killing spree and stacked their eyes as his trophies around his office.
A journalist Douglas Brenneman questions the residents of Silent Hill about a mysterious white-haired man he met at a scene of a murder. He goes to the Brookhaven Hospital to find Dr. Aickmann for answers but with no luck. Once he enters the Otherworld, Douglas encounters his fiancee, Rosy, working as a librarian at the library. Confused over the journalist’s identity, the librarian heads to the second floor and tells Douglas to grab a file from her desk and follow her. The file shows Dr. Aickmann’s questionable activities. Before he can ask more questions, the librarian transforms into a monster and attacks Douglas.
He runs from the monster and returns to Brookhaven and looks for Aickmann himself. Douglas encounters the doctor in his office with a dead nurse and a number of eyes around him. Aickmann is eager to welcome and share his story with Douglas, who asks the doctor about Rosy. He explains to Douglas about God, Samael is to be born in Silent Hill and a woman needs to be chosen so she can be impregnated with Samael. Their goal is to divine these entities to be born on Earth so they can cleanse the world through fire. Having to listen to Aickmann’s tale, Douglas was unable to hold his fear and anger no longer and held a shotgun to Aickmann’s face and demanded to tell him if Rosy was one of the women he kidnapped.
Aickmann remembers not having a woman named Rosy while Douglas prepares to kill the doctor. But the mysterious man, Whately, appears and intervenes with Douglas. Aickmann informs Whately that he is still a valued asset. With that, Whately teleports out of the office with Douglas, leaving Aickmann to continue his work.
