Dr. Arthur Gallup is the overarching antagonist of the Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey film series, which is part of the Twisted Childhood Universe.
He is portrayed by Toby Wynn-Davies.
Biography[]
Dr. Arthur Gallup was a renounced scientist from Ashdown, who performed ground-breaking experimentations with crossbreeding.
He approached a janitor named Cavendish and offered to pay off his gambling debts in exchange for him kidnapping several children to use for his experiments (although he didn't tell Cavendish WHY he wanted them).
Cavendish eventually gave to Gallup several kids that he kidnapped from a children party (Christopher Robin's birthday party), and Gallup paid off his debts as they agreed.
The children were brought to his home and Gallup experimented on them, turning them into the Crossbreeds: Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Owl, Tigger and Rabbit. However, Gallup became "spooked" by what he created and decided to get rid of them and destroy all evidence of his experiments.
He took the Crossbreeds to the Hundred Acre Woods with the intent on killing them and burying their bodies. However, Cavendish, who had discovered the nature of his experiments, followed him to the woods and tried to stop him from killing the Crossbreeds. They broke into an argument which resulted in Cavendish striking him and Gallup beating him, as he preceded to shoot the Crossbreeds with his pistol. Enraged, Cavendish took Gallup's pistol and shot him between the eyes, killing the mad scientist.
Cavendish then buried his body in a different part of the woods away from the kids.
Legacy[]
After killing Gallup, Cavendish burnt down his house to destroy the evidence. Gallup was reported missing by the Ashdown authorities and the cause of his house fire was unknown. However, his "disappearance" led to the public becoming aware of his "disturbing practices", with several of his previous experiments being displayed in an article about him in the newspaper. He also became a suspect of the unexplained disappearances. Concluded to some people, some say that he killed himself when he thought his experiments failed, though it may not be true.
Unknown to Gallup, his experiments gave the Crossbreeds incredible healing factors and they returned to life after being shot. Cavendish would go back to the crossbreeds graves the next day and discover the graves excavated, causing him to realize the crossbreeds returned to life. Thus, Dr. Gallup was indirectly responsible for the Hundred Acre Massacre. An adult Christopher Robin (the twin brother of one of the children) later confronted Cavendish who told him about Gallup's experiments before shooting himself out of guilt.
Possible Resurrection[]
According to the original script for Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, Gallup returned to life after being shoot by Cavendish as the Heffalump, a human-elephant crossbreed. Though the Heffalump is set to appear in Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 3, it is unknown if this concept was scrapped.
Personality[]
Little is known about Dr. Gallup other than the fact that he is sadistic and heartless sociopath who never showing any qualms about kidnapping children and turning them into human-animal hybrids known as Crossbreeds. He is also quite manipulative as he manipulated a janitor named Mark Cavendish to abduct children so he could use them for his insane experiments. Despite that, he has shown a sense of honor, as shown when he paid Cavendish's gambling debts off as part of their agreement.
