Dr. Bad-Boon is a major antagonist in the Super Monkey Ball video game series.
He is a mad scientist who attempts to ruin the lives of the residents of Jungle Island by stealing all their bananas and, at one point, even attempting to destroy them all by planting a bomb in a volcano. He is, as the Super Monkey Ball 2 instruction booklet puts it, "the island's most hated ape", and is also the arch-nemesis for the franchise's main protagonist AiAi.
His voice was provided by Patrick Harlan in Super Monkey Ball 2 and by Koichi Yamadera in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania. In Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble, he was voiced by Takayuki Miyamoto, who also voiced Perry in the Japanese dub of RWBY.

Dr. Bad-Boon is a baboon who wears a black shroud with red buttons over a white coat, boots with curved, pointed ends, and a black monocle.
Biography[]
Super Monkey Ball 2 / Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania[]
In the story mode of Super Monkey Ball 2 and Banana Mania, Dr. Bad-Boon invades Jungle Island in his airship and sucks all the bananas out of all the huts in the village. AiAi, MeeMee, Baby and GonGon confront the villain, who says that they will have to concer his mazes to get the bananas back, and he doesn’t think they could get out of them alive. Throughout Super Monkey Ball 2, Dr. Bad-Boon also attempts to convince MeeMee to marry him, saying he will return all the bananas if she marries him, but she refuses each time.
After a wild goose chase, Dr. Bad-Boon unleashes a new plan to permanently make all the bananas in the world forever taste like curry, claiming that the heroes will starve without them. However, AiAi and company are able to make Bad-Boon's plans backfire on him, ultimately defeating and humiliating him in the process. The game ends with AiAi and his friends back at Jungle Island, where the bananas that Bad-Boon stole falling down and returning to the island.
Super Monkey Ball Adventure[]
Though Dr. Bad-Boon does not appear in the game, he is indirectly referenced in Super Monkey Ball Adventure, as the events of Super Monkey Ball 2 are very briefly referenced at the beginning of the game's story mode. The Mysterious Traveller also mentions Dr. Bad-Boon in his stories in the PlayStation Portable version.
Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble[]
Whilst he does not have a role in the story, Dr. Bad-Boon appears as a playable character in Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble.
