Dr. Brutalov is a one-time villain from the FOX animated series, Futurama, only appearing in the episode "Forty Percent Leadbelly". He is a notorious supervillain with knives for fingers, who was frozen in a carbonite prison cell for 300 years.
Biography[]
In "Forty Percent Leadbelly", Fry, Bender, and Leela delivered a package to the 11-Worth Variable Security Prison. The package was the frozen body of revered supervillain, Dr. Brutalov, who was embalmed in a block of carbonite. Leela told Dr. Brutalov that he'll be spending the next 300 years in prison for his crimes and Bender noted that because Dr. Brutalov is unconscious, he's completely unaware of the fact that he's in prison and by the time he gets out, it will feel for him as though no time has passed, making the punishment kind of worthless. A small gas leak sprung from Dr. Brutalov's carbonite chamber, which made Fry jump. Leela assured him that Dr. Brutalov will not be breaking out and that the hot spring he just saw was most likely just the carbonite settling in.
While getting Dr. Brutalov ready for his prison cell, Bender spotted another famous supervillain, Silicon Red being released from prison after a long sentence. Bender went over to see Silicon Red, leaving Fry alone with Dr. Brutalov. Fry was very frightened by this as he was paranoid about Dr. Brutalov breaking out of his prison. Surprisingly enough, Dr. Brutalov's eyes opened, revealing a terrifying red glow of evil, that proved that he had regained consciousness and was ready to break out and attack Fry.
Although the aftermath of the situation was never shown, it was explained what happened later on, when Fry was shown back at Planet Express, frozen in carbonite and covered in scratches. As Amy and Professor Farnsworth chiseled him out of there, Fry said that Dr. Brutalov thawed himself out of his prison, scratched his face and then froze him in his former prison. Fry was extremely mad at Bender for abandoning him and tried to guilt trip him about it but Bender couldn't care less. When Fry finally broke out of the carbonite box, he painfully limped away, cursing Bender for what he did.
