Dr. Diablo, also known as Dr. Diale, is a minor antagonist of the Lash Lightning comics series, appearing as the main antagonist of issue 8 of Four Favorites Comics, "The Corpses That Wouldn't Stay Dead!"
He is a doctor of the town of Homesburg who suspectfully all of his patients ended up dying in his treatment. In truth, he has been faking the deaths of all of his patients in order to enslave them.
Biography[]
After the supposed death of one of his, Dr. Diale goes to visit the wife of that patient to treat her too, just to th end up getting shot on the leg by Bobby (her son), who suspected of him as the one responsible of his father's death. Dr. Diale screamed to the cops to get the kid arrested, but ends up failing in treating the woman as the cops call another doctor to treat her.
Getting to succeed in becoming her doctor again while Bobby was in Reform School, Diale drugged her while Lash Lightning and Lightning Girl were in the house, getting her to be in a state of narcolepsy which helped Dr. Diale in faking her death.
Using his men to dig a tunnel under the cementary to get Mrs. Dane out of his coffin without no one noticing, Diale is discovered by Lightning Girl, so he causes an explosion which buries her in dirt.
Getting his secret mining place discovered by Lash, where he had all of his other patients including Bobby who got kidnapped off-screen and forced them to mine while getting whipped by his henchman. Fighting Lightning, Dr. Diablo used the mud in order to protect himself from the attacks, knowing if the hero even tried to attack him with his powers, he would cause the deaths of all the innocent people there, using that opportunity to get Lightning to be buried alive. But after Bobby helps to freed Lightning, Dr. Diablo is caught by the hero and forced to eat mud, being forced to reveal where Lightning Girl was before being sent to prison for his crimes.
