Dr. Elena Petrova is a former GDI scientist who defected to working for the Brotherhood of Nod and the main antagonist in Command & Conquer Renegade.
She was voiced by Lori Tritel.
History[]
Dr. Elena Petrova originally worked for GDI in researching Tiberium and its practical applications alongside Dr. Ignatio Mobius and his daughter, Sydney. The three scientists were later captured by the Black Hand, an elite division of the Brotherhood of Nod, in Guatemala, who hoped to put their vast scientific knowledge on the use of Tiberium for their plan to create Tiberium-infused supersoldiers, called "Project ReGenesis". Secretly, Petrova had already switched sides to Nod and was appointed by Kane personally to head Project ReGenesis. Petrova's knowledge in the use of Tiberium allows the Brotherhood to perfect the process and begin producing super soldiers using controlled Tiberium infusions. Petrova would eventually undergoes the transformation into a Tiberium mutant herself, though she was ultimately killed by Captain Parker when he went to rescue the scientists.
