Biography[]
On June 12th, when two aliens named Nukie and Miko enter Earth's orbit, they find themselves separated and end up stranded on different parts of the planet, unaware that they are being spotted by the Space Foundation. Whilst Nukie crash lands in central Africa, Miko crashes off the Atlantic coast of the United States. Dr. Glynn is notified by his employees about the extraterrestrial phenomenon and sends a squad of agents to capture Miko. Afterwards, Dr. Glynn sends Dr. Eric Harvey to fly in his helicopter to Africa to retrieve Nukie. Glynn's agents notify him that they have recovered Miko, to which Glynn warns them to be careful of potential radiation when bringing him back to the Space Foundation. Glynn then labels Miko as a top secret government experiment and places him in the isolation chamber. Dr. Rhinestone reminds Glynn of Miko harboring potential radiation, to which Glynn replies that he wants his experiment alive and places Rhinestone in charge of the experiments.
Whilst the scientists are studying Miko's strange anatomy, Miko receives a message from Nukie and informs him that he has been sedated with tranquilizers. Miko later overhears Glynn reminding Rhinestone and Pamela Carter that Miko is government property, prompting Miko to send a message to Nukie informing him that he is being held captive in the United States. Rhinestone later begins performing biochemical experiments onto Miko and brags to her superiors that her experiments will revolutionize extraterrestrial biology, but Carter expresses disapproval over the tests. Later, Glynn receives updates about Nukie's whereabouts before informing Carter to not get involved in top secret government properties like Miko.
Two days later, after a series of painful experiments, Miko alters the Electronical Digital Data Intelligence (E.D.DI.)'s programming into becoming a cooperative friend and helping him find Nukie's location. The next day, Carter and Officer Connally come across Miko hanging out with E.D.D.I. and the computer entices the two scientists to come closer. Dr. Glynn then enters the scene and chastises them for supposedly slacking off, while Miko returns to the isolation chamber. Glynn then dismisses Connally from his duty and Carter warns Glynn about the painful experiments that Miko is enduring, stating that they need him alive. Carter tries to reprogram E.D.D.I. to its original state, but E.D.D.I. flirts with her and reveals that he has gained sentience.
Later, Glynn comes across E.D.D.I. and Miko listening to music. E.D.D.I. entices Glynn to join their "circus" in accordance with his childhood dreams of being a clown. Glynn initially plays along, due to E.D.D.I. raising his brain waves, but the effects wear off, though he continues dancing until Rhinestone enters the control center and interrupts their party. Rhinestone suggests on continuing the experiments on Miko herself, while Glynn leaves to conduct a meeting in his cheerful state as E.D.D.I. insults Rhinestone.
The next day, Rhinestone conducts another experiment on Miko by pumping narcotics into his body until E.D.D.I. intervenes and pleads for Rhinestone to stop the program out of fear that she will kill Miko, to which she reluctantly does so. Later, Miko contacts a tribal boy named Toki and informs him to rescue Nukie from a local mercenary known as the Corporal before he could sell him to the Space Foundation.
The next day, Miko hides in Carter's office after convincing E.D.D.I. to let him free. Two days later, Glynn takes notice of Miko's absence and expresses his frustration over their loss as he blames Rhinestone for Miko's disappearance. As Glynn contemplates on what he should do next, E.D.D.I. informs him that he should become a clown, to which he accepts his advice and quits his job to pursue his dreams.
