Dr. Kirifuji is a major antagonist in the 2025 tatical visual novel RPG The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy-.
One of the head scientists on the Exodus Project, she cruelly experimented on her own daughter in order to further research cryptoglobin, leaving her to deal with the life-endangering rejection symptoms after killing herself.
Biography[]
Dr. Kirifuji was one of the head scientists on the Exodus Project, and therefore is one of the primary people responsible for using Shion's DNA to create the Last Defense Academy students and have them utilized to wipe out Futurum's people and take their planet from them. She grew so obsessed that she forgot to eat and sleep, and soon had her daughter Nozomi, in spite of still being in elementary school, used as a test subject for her cryptoglobin transfusions to see if humans could utilize it so that she could further her experiments. However, once her project was cancelled, she could no longer live with the shame of using her own daughter for experiments, and ended her own life instead of deal with the consequences of her actions. Nozomi justified her actions and thought she was a genuinely good person in spite of what she did to her as a coping mechanism, even though her mother was incredibly cruel and was even likely complicit in wiping her memories of the LDA students within the pods to cover up the project.
