Dr. Moribundus is the main antagonist of the grizzly tales episode of the same name. He is a sadistic doctor who punishes children for pretending to be sick to get out of going of school.
Appearance[]
Dr. Moribundus is a tall, thin man with a long, black handlebar moustache and pointed goatee, the doctor dressed in a white smock with grey trousers, and a long, high-collared purple cape and wide-brimmed hat. He was accompanied by his assistant, the Night Nurse.
Biography[]
After another doctor prescribed Dr. Moribundus as a cure for serial skiver Lorelei Lee, the man and his nurse covered Lorelei in leeches and a horrid green chilli mustard poultice before performing brain surgery on the unfortunate girl with an enormous needle the size of a javelin. This cured the girl of her no-School-itis forever after.
As promised, the next day, the doorbell rang, and upon answering it, Mr. and Mrs. Lee found Lorelei’s new “medicine,” the Night Nurse and Dr. Moribundus.
Telling the parents to not disturb him no matter what should happen. The pair then covered Lorelei in leeches, before applying a hot poultice made from chilli mustard to the girl’s face. Diagnosing a case of extreme No-School-itis, the doctor claimed that the only cure was brain surgery. Even although Lorelei screamed that she was cured, the nurse pulled out an enormous needle. She confessed to faking being sick, but doctor said he knew, and this was “just for fun”. They performed a procedure on her, that can only be described as like eating a soft-boiled egg, just for the fun of it. Lorelei Lee was cured of her No-School-itis, and never faked be sick to get out of school again. It’s never said what happened to her, but it was clear that Dr. Moribundus removed opened her head and removed her brain with his needle.
