Dr. Nicolas "Nicky" Angevine, referred to mostly as Dr. Nicky, is one of the three overarching antagonists (alongside Raphael Passero and Ivan Mooney) in the Netflix thriller series You.
He is a therapist in New York, who often gets therapy sessions for Guinevere Beck, who he had an affair with, and later Joe Goldberg, (under the alias of Paul Brown). He is the father of Clayton Angevine.
He is portrayed by John Stamos who also played Stavros Katsopolis in Full House and Ken Turner in Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.

Background[]
Dr. Nicky's background is not hugely known. What is known is that he met and married Marica, with whom he had a son with, Clayton.
You[]
Joe becomes suspicious of Beck, because he believes she was having an affair with Dr. Nicky, one day on a street at night, Joe attacks Nicky and gives him his phone, which confirms the affair. Joe would later confront Beck about the affair and stated that it was over. After Joe killed Beck, when attempting to expose his murders, he frames her death on Nicky and was arrested for her murder.
While Joe was in Los Angeles, Forty Quinn visits Dr. Nicky in prison and is surprised that he doesn’t want to leave prison, because his guilty for his marriage and children, but doesn’t believe he killed Beck. Forty then shows Nicky a picture of Joe, showing him to realize he was his patient and could be the one who murdered Beck, but despite this, he warns Forty to stay away from Joe and leaves. Dr. Nicky is not seen for the rest of the series, but is still in prison in New York.
Nicky's son, Clayton, believes his father's innocence and starts an online forum to find the real killer. This results in Clayton's death at the hands of Joe, which is recorded, resulting in Joe's eventual imprisonment. Nicky is eventually freed after Joe was imprisoned for being the true killer of Guinevere Beck.
