Dr. Nuvo Vindi is the main antagonist of the Blue Shadow Virus Arc in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
He was voiced by Michael York, who also played Pterano in The Land Before Time VII: The Stone of Cold Fire.
Biography[]
Nuvo Vindi was a male Faust who lived during the Fall of the Galactic Republic. He eventually became the senior medic for the Perma Families, but he disappeared.
Vindi then resurfaced ten years later. He was then recruited by Count Dooku to re-create the Blue Shadow Virus. Vindi was given a lab hidden on Naboo in its Eastern Swamps. There, he was able to re-create the virus. Vindi was then able to make the Virus airborne and his battle-droids then started to fill up the bombs with the virus. However, a small amount of the virus had got out of the lab and Vindi's tactical droid was then taken in by Captain Typho.
Vindi then detected Naboo's senator and representative approaching his lab. Vindi then sent his battle droids to capture them. Afterwards, Vindi then showed them his plans for the virus as he loaded the last bomb and gave it to his droid, much to his prisoner's disgust.
When Jedi generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, accompanied by Padawan Ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex arrived, Vindi soon found his base under a Republic attack. He used Amidala and Binks as hostages to bait the Jedi, allowing him time to get away with samples of the virus.
What he did not anticipate, however, was the Jedi's ability in catching up with him. Clone forces managed to defuse the virus bombs while Skywalker, with the help of Shaak Ti, thwarted his escape and contained any virus leaks.
The Republic placed him under arrest on Coruscant, where he would remain for the remainder of The Clone Wars.
