Dr. Sawbones is the protagonist villain of the song of the same name by the band Creature Feature, for their album "It Was a Dark and Stormy Night...". He is a psychotic doctor who uses his medical tools to murder people with in his town.
Biography[]
At first glance, Dr. Sawbones seems like a charismatic and well dressed man. But this is only a façade for who he truly is-a doctor who moonlights as a serial killer at night, using his medical tools to murder his victims and mutilate their bodies. He doesn't seem to have any particular pattern in his killings, only choosing to kill whom ever he comes across at random chance to quench his "longing for blood". His motives for doing only seem to stem from the fact that he enjoys the pain he causes others.
Even those who remain in their homes supposedly aren't safe. It's revealed in one of the lyrics that he "[peers] through [his victims'] windows, conspiring for [their] blood". This shows he's just as capable of murdering someone with their back turned in the dark, as well as at their own houses.
It is revealed in the song that he often comes to a graveyard to "[pray] for an entity". It is unclear if this implies Satanism or worship of some other dark force. It's possible he may kill people as part of a ritual sacrifice, and that the "Judgement Day" being referred to in his song is referencing an apocalypse brought upon by this entity. However this is only speculation. It could also be that the "Judgement Day" is simply referring to his victims' deaths.
By the end of the song, Dr. Sawbones is never caught for his crimes and gets away with every murder he has committed.
