Dr. Tan is the main antagonist throughout the Dance Central series. He watches you dance every single time.
He is voiced by Tom Kane, who also voices Chancellor Fredinand from 9.
In Dance Central[]
Dr. Tan is not playable in the first game, and he only appears in the outro after Oblio left his estate. Rewinding the tape, he spots him and willing to capture him.
In Dance Central 2[]

But... give in your recent successes. I'm afraid that we just can't risk having you around. Wouldn't you notice? Another boss to battle. So, can we get to it then? Robots?! Get busy! | „ |

Dr. Tan returns while in the airship revealing the two robots; D-CYPHER, to defeat the player. After the five songs throughout the showdown marathon, the robots were destroyed and stating that he will return just by escaping with an escape pod.
He is a playable character which he is in a crew called "D-CYPHER-ELITE" along with CYPH-ELITE (whose real name is Bernice).
In Dance Central 3[]

Previously after Dance Central 2, he returned with Oblio being mind-controlled as he built an army of robots with their heads basing on the mind-controlled helmets. After completing every Era-Craze (such as The Hustle, Electric Slide, Macarena, Cupid Shuffle and Scream), he is in the Crow's Nest wanting the player to be defeated by dancing to the Era-Crazes previously and OMG. With Oblio broken free from mind-control, disgusted, he tells the player to defeat him by stranding him into the time stream.

He is a playable second time; now with Oblio in a crew called "Murder of Crows".
Ways to Unlock[]
- You must play the Showdown Marathon on Medium or Hard in Dance Central 2.
- Around Level 9 to Level 15, you need a lot of stars to unlock him in Dance Central 3.
