Dr. Vogel is a minor antagonist in the rebooted James Bond series, serving as a supporting antagonist in the 2015 film Spectre and the 2021 sequel No Time to Die. Vogel is a council member of Spectre serving for Ernst Stavro Blofeld.
She was portrayed by Brigitte Millar.
Biography[]
Spectre[]
Vogel was only seen during the SPECTRE meeting in Rome, where she hears of Moreau's reports of the attacks on Hamburg and Indonesia as part of Blofeld's plot to take control of the world's intelligence systems through Max Denbigh's Nine-Eyes program. After Moreau finishes his report, Vogel delivers her report of human trafficking and prostitution by saying that her division placed one-hundred and sixty thousand migrated females into the leisure sector and that the completion of the Global Surveillance initiative means that their capability is second to none. She claims that now is the time for aggressive expansion.
After Vogel finishes her report, Moreau announces to anyone who would like to fill in for the late Marco Sciarra to kill Mr. White after the failed mission in Mexico, to which Guerra offers to take over. Blofeld then asks if anyone else wants to take over the mission, to which Mr. Hinx arrives on cue.
Vogel then watches as Hinx kills Guerra to ensure that he would do the job pretty well of tracking down Mr. White. Eventually, Blofeld detects James Bond's presence and exposes him, forcing a nervous Bond to escape after killing Lorenzo.
No Time To Die[]
Vogel is briefly seen in Cuba with all the remaining SPECTRE operatives. However, she ends up being killed alongside the other SPECTRE operatives when Valdo Obruchev unleashes the Heracles nanobots on them on the orders of Lyutsifer Safin.
Trivia[]
- Translated from German, Dr. Vogel means Dr. Bird.
- Despite only appearing in two scenes, and only having a speaking role in one, Vogel actually has a major effect on the plot of the series as her trafficking operations drove Mr. White to resign from SPECTRE.
