~ Dr. Zero as the Shadowy Figure before the reveal

Dr. Zero is the main antagonist of the Roblox game, Field Trip Z, and a boss in A Dusty Trip for "The Hunt: Mega Edition" as a part of the quest for the Mega Token.

He is the owner of Zero Labs, and is the father of Nerdy Nathan. He is introduced to the students as the owner of Zero Labs, but later on reveals himself as the true mastermind behind the Zombie Outbreak.

Appearance[]

Dr. Zero appears as a normal robloxian wearing an eyepatch and a suit. As the Shadowy Figure, it shows his entire body covered in shadow with the exception of his right eye glowing a bright orange, presumably why he wears an eyepatch. After his reveal in the True ending, Dr. Zero appears in a giant mechanized suit built with large cannons, and in his Shadowy Figure persona as well. In A Dusty Trip, He was rebuilt as a cyborg by Dr. Time.

Biography[]

For three months, Dr. Zero and his crew at Zero Labs was studying the virus that has turned few Robloxians into zombies. Their first subject was Zero's son, Nathan Zero, who also went by "Nerdy Nathan" by his fellow classmates. However, Nathan also has turned into a zombie with an enlarged brain. He was given an antidote, but it was given too late, presumably turned into a permanent zombie.

Zero keeps his son's DNA within a briefcase he locks up in a nearby warehouse, which members of Zero Labs guarded. Zero Labs soon creates a second variant of the antidote to cure every infected Robloxian in the city, but is shown to have Zero keep it to himself within the Labs.

Since he lost his son to the Zombie outbreak, he takes revenge on the world by causing a worldwide Zombie Outbreak, and disguising himself as a Shadowy Figure so that Zero Labs can have this plan go through.

(Dr. Zero's story is revealed through the many endings of the game, though the endings have different outcomes)

Endings[]

Karen Ending[]

Dr. Zero, shown as the Shadowy Figure, appears after the infected Ms. Karen is defeated. He plots to turn the students into his next experiments to replace the infected Ms. Karen, continuing the Zombie Outbreak. The Lead Student is then taken to Zero Labs for testing, presumably to turn into an incurable zombie.

Van Ending[]

An attacked soldier stated that Dr. Zero was taken by masked guards, and it was up to the Students to rescue him. Upon defeating the masked guards, Zero introduces himself to the students, revealing himself as the owner of Zero Labs, and that they've been studying the Zombie Virus Outbreak for the past three months. The Students questioned how he knew about the Zombie Outbreak the whole time, with Zero also explaining about their first subject, who tried an antidote they were experimenting with, but it didn't work because it was far too late. He explained that through Zero Labs' research, that someone combined dark magic and science to create the virus.

Briefcase Ending[]

The Students enter a warehouse being guarded by an unknown faction who worked for the Masked Guards that tried to take Dr. Zero. Inside the Warehouse, The Students saw the masked guards packing up briefcases containing syringes filled with the Zombie virus, and Zero as the Shadowy Figure telling them to load the truck and that the next subject is ready. Inside the warehouse, The students find a briefcase with Zero Labs' branding on it. Upon rescuing Dr. Zero, the students reveal the briefcase to him, and he reveals that the briefcase contained the DNA of the first patient that Zero Labs has worked on three months ago.

Brainy Citizens Ending[]

Upon defeating a zombified Nathan, Dr. Zero, once again as the Shadowy Figure, saw the students kill him, and revealing to them that Nathan was his son and swears vengeance on the Students who killed him. He explains to the students and Officer Dave that Nathan was their first patient, and that the antidote they created only lasted for a brief amount of time. Now with Nathan as a seemingly permanent zombie, Zero was planning to revert his son back to normal with another variant of the antidote they created, but cannot anymore due to his death. Dave then takes the students away from the sewer, and telling Zero to head towards the safe zone.

Nathan Antidote Ending[]

(Same as Brainy Citizens Ending, Up until the defeat of Nathan)

Upon defeating a zombified Nathan, with the antidote in hand, Nathan is fully cured by the students. Nathan thanks the students for saving his life, and revealing that it was his father that turned him into a zombie in the first place. The Lead Student asks who his father was, but before Nathan could reveal the identity of his father, Zero returns as Shadowy Figure, allowing one of the masked men who took him in the Briefcase Ending and Van Ending to shoot and kill him, concealing his identity.

Locked Up Ending[]

After the Students defeat an infected Officer Dave, Dr. Zero steps into the scene, stating how unexpected it was to see the Students defeat their beloved officer. However, Zero reveals to them that they were going to be killed off anyways as the guards who were pointing their lasers at them during the battle with the infected Officer Dave, was working for Zero, and that he was the mastermind behind the Zombie Outbreak, and is planning to kill the Students to keep this secret from getting out.

Zombie Dan Ending[]

(The Warehouse scene in the Briefcase Ending is repeated in this ending)

As the Students and Dumpster Dan escape the zombies, it's revealed that Dumpster Dan has been infected by the Zombies and is about to turn into one of them. Returning to the Warehouse, Zombie Dan now controls the machines in the warehouse to try and kill the Students. However, when the students defeat Dumpster Dan, Zero comes out and is angered at the fact that Dan was defeated by The Students, vowing to take them on himself.

Bunker Ending[]

The Students face on their Zombified Science Teacher, and upon his defeat, Zero states that both The Students and the zombified Science Teacher were pathetic, now taking the students to become his new subjects.

Nuclear Ending[]

(Same as Briefcase Ending, up to the point in which the Students have to chase after the Masked guards)

Before chasing the masked guards who have taken Dr. Zero, The Soldier who tells the students that Dr. Zero has been kidnapped also explained that they were planning to nuke Zero Labs to stop the outbreak. Agent Angus, one of the other soldiers, calls for backup with the Zombies who were invading. However, the Students came too late as he was already infected. Zombie Angus was then defeated and the nukes were launched at Zero Labs, presumably killing Dr. Zero.

True Ending[]

The Student finds four pieces of Evidence that Zero Labs, and mainly Dr. Zero, were the culprits behind the Zombie Outbreak, and ask Officer Dave to inspect Zero Labs. Upon arriving at Zero Labs, the Students find the Antidote for the zombie virus, which was locked away. As soon as they were going to take the antidote, The Lab's alarm went off, alerting Zero and most of the lab. The Students escaped safely, but not before Zero shows up with a giant mechanized suit that he plans to kill them with. The Students dodge his attacks, and once tired out, they blast him with a large laser cannon a bunch of times to weaken his shield. Once weakened, they blast him one last time, launching him far towards where Dumpster Dan lives, and presumably killing Dr. Zero.

In the end, however, Dr. Zero reveals to have survived the blast and is out for revenge.

Reborn (Mecha + Zombie Dr. Zero)[]

The Hunt: Mega Edition - A Dusty Trip (Mega Token Quest)[]

In 2025, Time Traveler Tim travels to a part of the land where Players have built a transporter. Tim explains that he has detected a wide spread interference, and asks the Players to help him.

However, Tim and the Players have been displaced into a different time period, where Dr. Time was experimenting on Dr. Zero, who Time explains that he was pulled from the Time Stream, and calling Zero a "remarkable doctor from the 21st century". Zero, now as a cyborg that no longer needs his mech suit, was given the ability to shoot lasers from his right glowing eye, summoning laser bots that spin red lasers, control cannons that could blast the players away, and summon zombified students from his time period.

Once Zero was weakened, the Players were given the opportunity to shoot him with rifles that spawned in to finish him. However, Time refuses to have him lose, so he has Zero turned into a Zombie and has him regain his health for a second stage of the battle. Once defeated again, Zero falls apart and fades from existence.
