The return to the black centre

of its core. But this is better than I thought. More black than ever. Purging itself of love and joy.

~ Dracula to Bathory

Count Dracula, also known as The Dark One, is the overarching antagonist of the Syfy series Van Helsing, which was inspired on the Helsing graphic novel series.

The Count was a centuries-old vampire lord and the ruler of his namesake palace in Transylvania, who possessed his descendant Olivia Von Dracula. He is also the archenemy of the vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing, who imprisoned him in the Dark Realm for centuries, until he was accidentally released by Abraham's descendants Vanessa, Jackie, and Violet in the 21st century.
