Drake (Escape Plan)

Drake

Drake is the secondary antagonist in the 2013 film Escape Plan.

He is portrayed by Vinnie Jones.

Biography

Drake is the chief security officer working at the Tomb, the world's most secure prison, run by the corrupt Warden Willard Hobbes. Drake is a brutal and sadistic man who enjoys torturing the prison inmates and making them suffer, particularly Ray Breslin (a man employed to test the security of prisons by breaking out of them) and his partner, Emil Rottmayer. Drake is seen being scolded by Hobbes for accidentally killing one of the inmates (through excessive violence), and he is also the one who discovers Breslin's true identity. After telling Hobbes who Breslin really is and why he's really there, Hobbes plans to keep Breslin in solitary confinement and force him to live the rest of his life in prison. Throughout the film, Breslin and Rottmayer plot an escape plan with various other inmates, while Drake and Hobbes try relentlessly to stop them.

Towards the end of the film, Drake confronts Breslin during his escape and they fight. Breslin eventually gains the upper hand and kicks Drake down a staircase, breaking his neck and killing him, and his corpse is later discovered by Hobbes during his pursuit of the inmates.
