Dranghenstein

Dranghenstein is the main villain of the critically panned and surreal italian animated series ''Adrian''. He is the narcissistic, manipulative and tyrannical CEO of the corrupt Mafia Corporation and the archenemy of the titular hero, Adrian and his multiple alter-egos, The Fox and Darian. He is also known in the series with the nickname ''Il Dissanguatore'' (the Bleeder).

He is voiced by Ckaudio Moneta

History

Not much is revealed about Dranghenstein's childhood, only that he and Adrian used to be a fellow martial arts students under the teachings of the elderly masters Anidride and Carbonica and, at some point. he eventually betrayed and abbandoned them, driven by his greed and envy towards Adrian.

It isn't revealed in the show how Dranghenstein became the leader of Mafia Corporation, but he uses his company as a front for multiple illegal activities, like destroying the environment and using his wealth and intimidation to manipulate politics and entertainment from behind the scenes.

The Adrian show itself is set in a futuristic and dystopian Italy of the year 2068, the story tells the adventures of Adrian, a seemingly humble clockmaker of Gluck Street who has a love story with Gilda and fights for the freedom against the homologation imposed by an authoritarian regime. The future Italy is nominally governed by a democracy, but it is actually ruled by a few corrupted politicians and mainly by big bad Dranghestein. With the help of some disciples (including Dranghenstein's former hernchmen Orso and Carbone) and under various alternate identities like the masked vigilante The Fox (La Volpe) and the old hunchback Darian, Adrian would lead a revolt against the regime. The series culminates with a martial arts battle between Adrian and Dranghenstein, showing they are both capable of superhuman strenght and agility.
