Dreadbear is the titular main antagonist of the Curse of Dreadbear Halloween DLC to Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted and he also is returns as a minor character in its 2023 sequel Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2. He is a Frankenstein's monster version of Freddy Fazbear, that has some traits from a Zombie.
Biography[]
The character of Dreadbear was created for the Halloween DLC of The Freddy Fazbear Virtual Experience, made by Fazbear Entertainment. He appears in the opening hub, at the top of the "Curse of Dreadbear" line. Dreadbear also appears in the game over screen, laughing at the player. Dreadbear sometimes appears in the main hub, as an easter egg.
Spooky Mansion[]
Dreadbear is the titular antagonist of the fourth and final "Spooky Mansion" level, where the player is tasked with building him in the style of Frankenstein's Monster. Dreadbear's brain needs to be perfected by colouring it with an injector, set the correct brain waves, and making it the correct size before completing him with it.
Danger, Keep Out![]
In Night 03 of "Danger, Keep Out!", a Halloween themed version of FNaF 1, Dreadbear is a threat, replacing Freddy Fazbear. He makes his way from the stage to the office. The player has to flash the light on the cameras to slow him down. If he gets to the office, he instantly destroys the door and kills the player.
Appearance[]
Dreadbear's appearance is similar to that of the classic horror movie icon Frankenstein's monster, sharing properties such as screws stuck to his jaw and stitches all around the body. He's also similar to Nightmare Freddy in terms of his head shape, but with flatter teeth, thicker brows, and white eyes.
Like the nightmare animatronics, he supports five clawed fingers, but has three-toed feet that are similar in fashion to the toy animatronics.
