“ | Ahahah... HAHAHAHA! Oh man. You made this way too easy for me. Anyway. Probably wanna brace for the fall. It'd be a shame if my dinner got scuffed up. Truth is.... The game was rigged from the start. | „ |
~ Dreameater when it succeeds. |
Dreameater, also known as it's disguise, Diego, is the main antagonist of 2023 horror game I Frog-ot. A manipulative supernatural entity, it lures victims into it's cabin so it can put them in a dreamlike state and make them believe they're in a fun and colorful world while it slowly devours them.
Biography[]
Dreameater quickly gained a high kill count from it's manipulations. 18 people mysteriously disappeared, only six being presumed deceased, Dreameater having eaten their bodies.
Soon enough, the protagonist enters it's cabin, and it pulls the same trick, pretending to be a wizard named Diego who accidentally turned himself into a frog when messing up a spell and got amnesia, and needs their help to create a potion to reverse it. If the player declines, it will refuse to let them, asking them again and only allowing them to say yes. It first asks the player for something sweet, and then something cold, and then something electronic, and then something green, then finally something sharp. If the player fails on only a few, they mess up the potion and turn into a frog themself. Dreameater angrily asks why they didn't just follow it's directions, only to get the response "I frog-ot", much to it's annoyance. If they succeed, the hallucination slowly grows stronger with each ingredient, until they eventually pass out, eating them. If the player gets too many things wrong, the hallucination distorts and breaks apart, much to Dreameater's rage. When the player snaps out of the hallucination, it decides to play hide and seek. The player collects item from Dreameater's "spellbook" while it searches for them as they try to make a second potion. The player escapes through the door while it chases, ultimately failing to catch them.
