~ Dremora after sensing an enemy |
The Dremora are supporting antagonists in the Elder Scrolls franchise.
Summoned from the realm of Oblivion, Dremora serve as warriors of the Daedric Princes, armed with Daedric weapons and armor, and can prove to be powerful enemies. When defeated, their Daedra Hearts can be harvested to use as alchemy ingredients, along with any weapons and other loot on their bodies.
History[]
Skyrim[]
Dremora don't make many appearances in Skyrim. One place where they can always be found is the Shrine of the Daedric Prince Mehrunes Dagon after completing his Daedric Quest, "Pieces of the Past", to acquire Dagon's Daedric Artifact, Mehrunes Dagon's Razor, a dagger that carries the chance of killing anyone struck with it in a single blow. At the end of the quest, after the Dragonborn either spares or kills a Mythic Dawn worshipper named Silus Vesuius who helped recover all the pieces of Mehrunes' Razor, Dagon summons two Dremora to fight the Dragonborn with. These Dremora respawn after several in-game days should the Dragonborn ever revisit Dagon's shrine.

Another Dremora is summoned and fought by the Dragonborn several times during the quest at the College of Winterhold to acquire the Master-level Conjuration spells. In the Dragonborn DLC, one of the Black Books of Hermaeus Mora can bestow a gift on the Dragonborn with summoning a Dremora merchant or butler for the Dragonborn to interact with.
The Daedric Prince of debauchery and hedonism, Sanguine, takes on the appearance of a Dremora at the end of his Daedric Quest to acquire his Daedric Artifact, the Sanguine Rose, which can summon a Dremora for the Dragonborn for a short time.
