Biography[]
Over a long career in Intelligence, Navett became an elite infiltration specialist. In 19 ABY he was appointed the leader of the Imperial Intelligence cell code named Vengeance by the traitorous Moff Vilim Disra.
The New Republic by then was on shaky ground due to the discovery of a partial copy of the Caamas Document - it said a group of Bothans helped the Galactic Empire destroy Caamasi homeworld. When the Bothans simply wouldn't give in to demands to pay ruinous reparations or accept guilt for the actions of a few Bothans, it caused a great deal of controversy as factions supporting the Bothans and those wanting to hold the race responsible began lining up. Many New Republic members also used it as an excuse to reignite old feuds and disagreements with other members.
Under his command Vengeance committed acts of sabotage, incited riots, and committed terrorist acts all intended to further destabilize the New Republic. At the Combined Clans building on Bothawui Navett used a sniper rifle to murder innocent civilians, making it appear that Han Solo and a Bothan leader had fired the deadly shots. This turned what was a tense protest into a deadly riot resulting in numerous deaths and injuries.
Setting up shop in the Bothan capital, Navett and his people next sabotaged the planetary shields protecting Bothawui. Navett died setting off the explosives to destroy the shield generator. The rest of his people infiltrated an Ishori cruiser and took control of a turbolaser to fire on Bothawui. The remaining agents were quickly spotted and killed by the Ishori crew.
