Villain Overview

To drill or not to drill. That is the question!
~ Drilliam Shakespeare

Drilliam Shakespeare is a recurring supervillain from the YTV animated series, Sidekick. He is an evil unicorn with a passion for theatre, who likes to go around, drilling things to oblivion for no reason, using his unicorn horn. He first appeared in "To Party Perchance to Party".

Biography[]

In "To Party Perchance to Party", Drilliam Shakespeare escaped from his diamond vault super prison and went rampant around Splittsboro, drilling a bunch of buildings to destruction. Maxum Brain alerted Eric and Trevor about this, showing how he had already destroyed such fun places for teenagers as The Mall of Justice, Game-tronic, and The Music Mangler. Maxum Brain demanded they stop him. However, Drilliam Shakespeare was a very particular kind of villain, who came with a very carefully constructed 16-step-plan to defeating him. Eric and Trevor decided they didn't have time for this and just cut right to the chase by dropping a rock on his head.

Drilliam Shakespeare stood outside a pickle store and got ready to drill the dill. Just then, Eric and Trevor flew overhead in the Maxum Jet and dropped a colossal boulder on him, crushing him and seemingly stopping him. With that, Eric and Trevor called it a day and went on their way to enjoy their weekend.

Drilliam Shakespeare showed up later to tell Eric and Trevor that their attempts at defeating him were fruitless, given that he literally has a drill on his head, which he used to easily drill his way free from the rock. Eric and Trevor were fed up with Drilliam's crap and decided to pull out the list of the 16-step-plan to defeat him, just like they should have done in the first place. After 5 or 6 hours of excruciating torture, Drilliam Shakespeare finally laid in defeat. Although the contents of the plan were not fully explained, it was shown that some of the steps involved shooting him with toilet plungers, playing tic-tac-toe on his belly, tying up his lips in ropes, pouring sour milk on his face, and having Trevor's person hurled into him at full blast, officially blowing him up in a big fiery explosion.

Drilliam Shakespeare returned in "The Show Must Go On", where he worked as the director of Sidekick Academy's school play of MacBlast. Eric was immediately suspicious of him, worrying that he was plotting revenge on him for how he tortured him back in "To Party Perchance to Party", but nobody else was even the slightest bit worried about his presence. Drilliam assured Eric that he was seeking no such revenge and would not be playing a villainous role, whatsoever. He claimed that he was doing his job as a theater director and that he kept his villainous life and his theatrical life very separate.

During rehearsals of the play, Drilliam expressed his discontent with how the fight scene wasn't dramatic enough and demonstrated how he wanted it to play out by beating up Eric. It was made pretty clear that Drilliam was deeply enjoying the abuse of Eric and that he was secretly venting out his frustrations against him in the form of this play. This was even further confirmed by how Drilliam made some edits to the script, which would involve Eric getting run over by a tank, repeatedly. Despite all of this, Eric vowed to continue acting in the play and suffer through all of this abuse because he knew that he'd get to kiss Vana at the end.

On the night of the performance, Eric endured all the pain and misery that Drilliam set up for him just so that he could kiss Vana at the end. However, Trevor accidentally pressed the wrong button backstage and made Vana fall through a trapdoor and injure herself. Drilliam was horrified to see that his play had been ruined, until he had an idea on how to save everything. Drilliam stepped in as Vana's understudy, unbeknownst to Eric and the latter ended up kissing the former in front of everyone on stage. Eric was disgusted by this but Drilliam was mostly just happy that his play finally played out the way he wanted it to. Eric told Drilliam that the next time he wants to get revenge on him, he should just kill him and leave it at that.

In "Eric-o and Mandy-et", Drilliam was one of the villains who attended Mandy Struction's villainous coming-out party. When Eric tried to sneak in to bust Mandy out, Drilliam Shakespeare farted on him through the window. Drilliam later joined the rest of the villains in stampeding through town to try and split Eric and Mandy up and later pummeling Eric for tricking everyone into thinking that he and Mandy were frozen.
