~ One of Drogoz's lines upon starting a match. |
Drogoz, also known by his title The Greedy, is a playable antagonist in Paladins. Once a mere servant to a vicious dragon, using a pair of crystal-powered wings, Drogoz escaped his servitude, now freely roaming the Realm as he builds his own hoard of gold to rival that of true dragons.
He's a Damage champion that was introduced on April 21st, 2016.
He is voiced by Chris Rager.
Official Bio[]
"Born wingless as a mere wyrin underling to a vicious dragon, Drogoz escaped his servitude using a pair of crystal-fueled mechanical wings crafted by a clever dwarven engineer. The draconic blood in his veins flowed with cruelty and greed, compelling him to continue on a Realm-wide rampage of destruction as he amassed his own hoard, one that will rival that of the true dragons.
As the conflict between the Magistrate and the Resistance rages, Drogoz streaks through the sky above, swooping down to deal with his foes as quickly — and as violently — as possible."
Biography[]
Little is known of Drogoz's past or recent actions beyond what is mentioned in his bio. He appears to have gotten into several conflicts with various champions at certain points, and may have possibly stolen his wings from Barik.
Personality[]
Fueled by his draconic blood, Drogoz is an incredibly aggressive individual, to the point he even insults Barik, the one who made the wings he uses. This extends to Drogoz being a demanding and slightly self-absorbed individual as well, with his lines towards his mount being direct commands, and also supposedly claiming he himself is capable of flight without his wings, despite that obviously not being the case.
However, Drogoz does have a massive obsession with gold, to the point he's compelled to go on a Realm-wide rampage of destruction to build his own hoard to rival that of actual dragons.
Powers and Abilities[]
While not a true dragon, Drogoz's draconic blood fuels his cruelty and greed, using his crystal-powered wings, rocket launcher, and other draconic abilities, Drogoz swoops out of the sky to deal with foes as quickly and as violently as possible, few hoping to match him and get away with their gold.
Gameplay[]
Passive Abilities[]
Drogoz can use his crystal-powered jetpack to fly freely in the air. Through the use of a fuel resource, the Space Bar can be used to lift Drogoz into the air so long as he has fuel, otherwise the ability cannot be used and Drogoz will fall out of the sky. Fuel regenerates quickly when not in use.
Rocket Launcher[]
- Fire explosive rockets every 0.85 seconds to decimate an area, dealing a base 850 damage.
- Rockets can damage and apply a slight knockback to Drogoz himself if he's too close when they explode.
- Has a base ammo count of 6.
Fire Spit[]
- Spit a flammable orb and shoot it to deal a base 900 damage to enemies and weaken them to further attacks for a short duration. Hitting an enemy directly deals 150 damage.
- Enemies hit take 30% additional damage from Drogoz and allies for 3 seconds.
- 8 second base cooldown.
Salvo[]
- Load all your remaining rockets into your launcher and unleash them with your next attack for a rapid-fire assault, dealing a base 250 damage per rocket.
- Deals 100% additional damage to shields.
- Uses Rocket Launcher's ammo.
- 20 second base cooldown.
Thrust[]
- Jet upwards into the air.
- 11 second cooldown.
Ultimate: Dragon Punch[]
- Unleash your fury to jet through the air and hunt down an enemy to execute.
- 2 second windup.
- Instantly kills any enemy hit, so long as they're not damage immune.
- Ignores shields.
- Grants Crowd Control immunity while active.
- Drogoz can fly freely without consuming fuel while active.
- Drogoz will be forced to move forward while active, but he can still be controlled otherwise.
- Other abilities cannot be used while active.
- Cancelling the ability early or failing to hit an enemy refunds 30% charge.
- Ultimate will automatically cancel after 4 seconds if an enemy isn't hit.
Talents[]
As with every other champion in Paladins, Drogoz has a number of different talents and cards which can be used to somewhat alter the way his abilities function. Cards can be upgraded with a limited pool of fifteen points per load-out in order to increase their effectiveness. Numbers in curly brackets are the default values and can be upgraded a total of five times, each upgrade adding another instance of the base value to overall effectiveness.
