Although it is uncertain how Dublin Thunder originated, it seems to be that they are one of the best European dojos originating out of Ireland. One of their best students is Cara, a hot tempered, Irish teenager. They were later given the chance to qualify for the Sekai Taikai in 2020.
Dublin Thunder are one of the first opponents that Miyagi-Do faces in the elimination stages of the Sekai Taikai. They seemed to be a huge advantage over the Miyagi-Do's, especially when they knock Robby Keene off the platform due to his distraction towards Tory Nichols. Cara was also able to defeat Samantha LaRusso easily, though Devon Lee was able to make a sacrificial move by knocking her off the platform alongside herself. After Demetri Alexopoulos and Eli "Hawk" Moskowitz are easily defeated, Miguel Diaz is able to defeat the last two Dublin Thunder fighters, eliminating them and allowing Miyagi Do to qualify.
They later participated at the all dojo brawl where they try attacking Miyagi-Do. Sam was able to defeat Cara, while Devon and Kenny Payne defeat other students, ultimately losing to them during the brawl.
