It's just you and me now, okay? It's unfortunate I didn't find out where my diamonds are... so you'll have to be my consolation prize.
~ Duke attempting to rape the sushi girl.

Duke is the main antagonist of the 2012 crime film Sushi Girl. He is the sadistic and psychopathic ringleader of a group of criminals searching for a bunch of diamonds they lost six years ago during a heist.

He was portrayed by the late Tony Todd, who also played Candyman in the franchise of the same name, Grange in The Crow, Captain Darrow in The Rock, Earl Jenkins in Smallville, King Deucalion in Minotaur, Shadow in Shadow: Dead Riot, Benjamin Juma in the 24 franchise, Reverend Zombie in the Hatchet film series, The Fallen in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Dreadwing in Transformers: Prime, Darkseid in the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes film series, Zoom in the Arrowverse, Space Kook in Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!, Darkseid in the DC Animated Movie Universe, Luther Thompson in Scream, William in Tales from the Hood 3 and Venom in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

History[]

In the past, he had his gang dress up as monsters from Japanese folklore and rob a bank, all while killing three people in the process. When one of the workers there handcuffs his hand to the briefcase full of diamonds, he had Max hack it off with a machete before taking it.

While running off with it with his men, they get into a car accident, resulting in Duke losing the diamonds. When the man (later revealed to be the husband of the titular sushi girl) who got into a car accident with them steps out of his car to see if Duke and his men were okay, he cruelly shot him and retreated before the police could arrest him. The robber responsible losing the diamonds, Francis is later carted off the prison for the next six years.

Once Fish was released from jail, he had him, Francis, Crow, and Max meet up with him for a "sushi girl" dinner, with the goal of learning where Fish "hid" the diamonds and eventually killing all of them in order to take care of "loose ends" and keep the diamonds to himself.

In order to do this, he had Max and crow torture him, although the latter eventually killed him in a fit of rage. Following this, he then killed Francis after learning that he was a spy and later Crown and Max.

As a "consolation prize" for losing the diamonds, Duke attempted to rape the sushi girl. While preparing for this, he ate the fugu that he'd placed on her body. This would prove to be his downfall, as unbeknownst to him, the Sushi girl had it poisoned it. While paralyzed, she takes took the opportunity to brutally cut one of his fingers off containing her wedding ring, culminating in her shooting him in the head, exacting her revenge.
