Biography[]
Early life[]
Duncan was regularly bullied by his peers at Excelsior, due to both getting into the school on a scholarship and also his friendship with Lex Luthor. He accepted Lex for who he was because they both shared interests in the comic book Warrior Angel. Oliver Queen constantly tormented the pair and ripped Duncan's comic book in half.
Duncan and Lex discussed their futures and the two planned to do benevolent work for the poor together and promised to be partners. Just then, he and Lex discovered Oliver and his friends stealing the answer sheet to their midterms from the principal's office. Duncan wanted to use this incident to get Queen and his atrocious friends expelled, but Lex wanted to use this knowledge to blackmail Queen into making them more popular.
When Duncan refused to go along with it, Lex got into a fight with him. It ended with Duncan stumbling into the street and being hit by a car while he was yelling at Lex and Oliver. The accident had caused significant brain-damage and left Duncan as a vegetable. It was reported that he passed away due to his injuries, but in reality Lionel Luthor had hired the best medical professionals available to try and reverse Duncan's condition.
Season Six[]
Ten years later, after countless failed treatments, Duncan's doctors tried a new medication made from refined meteor rocks. The medication didn't quite bring Duncan out of his vegetative state, but granted him the ability of astral projection, allowing his consciousness to leave his body and attack his former tormentors elsewhere.
At the Excelsior 1996 class reunion, Duncan's astral form broke off a sword from the school statue atop of the roof and impaled Alden with it. Later that night, Oliver and Geoffrey talked about how they regret falling out of touch with Alden before he died in a car explosion. When Geoffrey was leaving in his limo, an unseen force cut his limousine's fuel line and lighting the gasoline with a discarded cigarette from the driver caused the car to explode killing him in the process.
Upon his third treatment, he astral projected into Queen Tower and shattered a window to attack Lex and Oliver. He stood up to see one of his arrows flying towards him. It hit him in the shoulder and pinned him to the wall. Just as one of his electrical arrows flies towards him, Clark Kent speeds in front of it.
The resulting energy surge apparently disrupted Duncan's astral "ghost", causing him to completely flat-line. As the pulse traveled, Duncan's brain waves shorted out, and he went limp. When Clark goes back to the clinic, Duncan has died and Lois Lane has decided not to write her story.
