The Duocons are antagonists in Generation One of the Transformers franchise, comprising Flywheels and Battletrap. Each of them had a robot mode that split into two separate vehicles when they transformed.
Marvel Comics[]
The Duocons were seen in the Headmasters miniseries among Scorponok's troops on Cybertron. They joined him in battling Fortress Maximus' Autobot faction and accompanied him to Nebulos, attacking the Nebulan city in an attempt to destroy the Autobots there.
This appearance was largely ignored by their later appearances in the Marvel UK title, where they were shown operating on Cybertron again in the "City of Fear" storyline. Here, they were portrayed as straightforward triple changers, switching between their robot modes and two vehicle modes. They attacked Ultra Magnus and the Sparkabots outside the city of Kalis, which they had blockaded after the renegade Autobot scientist Flame filled it with zombified Transformers. Flywheels ended up being captured by the Autobots and reluctantly assisting them in first disabling the zombies and then assaulting Flame's stronghold. The Duocons reappeared in "Time Wars" as part of the Decepticon Mayhem Squad, who allied with the Autobot Wreckers to travel to Earth and deal with the future Decepticon Galvatron. They were both felled early on in battle with Galvatron and his ally Megatron.
Battletrap reappeared in the final run of the comic as one of new Decepticon leader Bludgeon's troops. He took part in the assault on the peaceful planet of Klo and the final battle with the Autobots.
