~ The chorus to Dustborn's main song - the most infamous quote in the game. |
The Dustborn are the titular main protagonists of the 2024 video game Dustborn. They are a group of on the run thieves posing as a band in order to pass through America undetected, while trying to escape from the Puritans after stealing a valuable Data Key, along with escaping from Justice on various occasions.
History[]
Stealing the Data Key[]
After Theo managed to convince the other three members of Dustborn at the time to let him join, he promised them a surefire way to make money; stealing a Data Key from the Puritans and selling it to one of Theo's buyers, an organization called The Weave, in exchange for a way to Nova Scotia, so they can build a better life. After some convincing, the rest of the group are in.
After breaking in to the Puritans' lab, and fighting off several guards, including the Adjunct, the Dustborn stole the Data Key and fled.
On the Run[]
Dustborn proceeds to kill some Justice soldiers that are after them by creating a car accident, but escapes. They switch vehicles to a bus since Justice saw their plates, but get pulled over at an outpost where they play their most famous song to them to convince them that they are a real band. It works, and they are allowed through.

Theo spots a bald child that he saw with the Overseer running away, but the child reveals itself to be AXIOM, and kills Theo. With the help of the Girl, Pax is able to defeat AXIOM, and the remaining members apart from Theo, who is dead, and Ziggy, who stays behind, escape.
