“ | "Nice, eh? A perfect view of paradise. A lot can change in 1000 years. Used to be nothing but taro fields, far as the eye could see. Agriculture was just about the only industry keeping Hawaii floating. That is, until the white man crept out here. They crushed the fields, brought in sand by the boatload from Sunny California. All for some useless hotels thought up by even more useless bastards. That striking view you see is an illusion, a landscape of smoke and mirrors". | „ |
~ Dwight Méndez |
Dwight Méndez is a major antagonist of the 2024 action-adventure RPG video game Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, serving as the secondary antagonist of the Hawaii Arc.
Dwight is the leader of the Barracudas, a brutal criminal organization that operates in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Barracudas are known for being a group for formerly homeless people that rule Honolulu with fear. Dwight is later revealed to be under the reign of the Overseer, who is none other than the Sage of Palekana, Bryce Fairchild.
Dwight is later assigned by Bryce to track down and capture a girl named Lani and Akane Kisihida (Palekana's former disciple), and to bring them to him, which puts him into conflict with Ichiban Kasuga and company. He's also the arch-nemesis of Eric Tomizawa, having ruined the man's life by framing him for a robbery he didn't commit.
In Japanese, he's voiced by Shuhei Matsuda, while in English, he's voiced by veteran actor, Danny Trejo (as well as being modeled by him).
Appearance[]
Dwight appears to be a middle-age old man, with a gray ponytail and a mustache that frames his upper lips and side of his mouth. He was covered with several Western-tattoos, the most notables one being the "B" on the left side of his forehead, "Barracuda" written on top of an ornate pattern on his left forearm, and a machete between thorns and butterflies on his right forearm.
His main attire of choice is an off-white dress shirt, with white pinstriped pants with a gold-buckled belt, and a pair of brown shoes. He also wears a lot of jewelry, such as gold necklaces, gold rings, and a gold watch.
