The Earth Imperial Beasts are monsters utilized by the Underground Empire Tube and major antagonists in Hikari Sentai Maskman.
They are sealed away and frozen within a chamber of the Underground Castle, and are thawed out to perform a task. Some beasts are comprised of a "Doggler" which forms the body and a parasite which merges with it to give it its name, while others are wholly one entity. They are used by Tube to supplement their invasion of the surface, as well as to deal with the main force standing in their way - the Hikari Sentai Maskmen.
History[]
While many Beasts lived in harmony with the human citizens of Tube, many years ago the underground was terrorized by a beast known as Lethal Doggler. The Lethal Doggler wreaked havoc through the underground, desiring to take it over, before being hunted down and killed by the Igam royal family. Despite this, it would inspire a legacy which would eventually lead to the downfall of the Igam family and the Tube becoming a despotic empire.
After Emperor Zeba rose to power and rallied the Tube to invade the surface world, the Earth Imperial Beasts were used as part of Tube's invasion effort. The first beast to be sealed out was Igua Doggler, which was used to kidnap Ial after she betrayed the Tube and deal with the Maskman.
