Eckles is the secondary antagonist of the Historical romance drama of the 2019 Light novel and its 2020 manwhas series, Villains are Destined to Die.
Born as the illegitimate son of the former empire of Delman however his life was more favorable compared to Penelope before his name and family registry was removed to prevent his execution but instead is brought as a slave in the black market before being bought as a future escort knight under Penelope.
Initially from the events of the story, he served as one of the main characters, who is submissive and a loyal servant to Penelope who treated him differently and tends to beg for forgiveness when he crosses the line which is revealed that he is actually obsessive and a manipulative individual who uses Penelope in exploiting her kindess in which he pretends to be loyal as he rather cares for his own selfish desires despite his quick thinking to exploit Penelope.
Later he used the children and Emily to force Penelope to follow him in attempting to lock her and frequently justifies his actions for his sake.
Prior to the battles and memories he lost from the mirror, he is currently a mercenary that wanders around the empire as he doesn't remember the people he once knew despite the suspicions he currently has.
Appearance[]
He appeared to have an unreadable face with grey eyes and brown hair as he originally wears a black choker with a yellow marble that is enchanted with a paralyzing spell to keep him at bay.
Personality[]
He hardly shows emotions but only whenever he talks about his empire and is excpliticly shown how much he hates and despises the Eorka empire for burning his homeland as he chose to be manipulative and obsessive to hide his intentions while being insincere as well as being deceitful to Penelope and his own compatriots.
He is very jealous and obsessive who badly takes the rejection so badly who often acts immaturely as well witnessing the crown prince and Penelopes interaction to the point where he wanted to kill him. He also revealed to try to stir chaos of kicking Penelope out to leave her to be alone and rely on him and has no problem to coerce Penelope as he tends to blames others and her as well whenever his plan doesn't go in his way while justifying that his actions are necessary.
