Appearance[]
Eclipso is a tall woman with long blackish-purple hair and pale purple skin. Her face is divided up into two sections as one side is purple and the other is grey, giving her a shadowy look. She wears a long purple and black dress that features two green and black pendants with one at the top and one at the bottom, with a diamond shape pointing down that is located at the waist and three purple curves attached to the center pendant. There is also a black fur hood at the back.
Personality[]
Eclipso is described as an immensely powerful, dangerous and egotistical sorceress who cares about nothing but herself as she intends to conquer the Earth with an iron fist after being banished from the Gemworld. From start to finish, she is depicted as nothing more than a ruthless, sadistic, cruel, cold-hearted, tyrannical and power-hungry person with no redeeming or admirable traits - though this was what eventually led to her defeat and arrest thanks to the Super Hero Girls foiling her plans. Despite her assistant and minion Dark Opal working with her to conquer Earth, it turns out Eclipso valued only little about him at all due to the fact that she was planning to betray him, revealing that she never cares about Dark Opal as she was using him as a pawn.

Trivia[]
- Eclipso is designed to look like the Jean Loring incarnation, but the motivations and connection to Gemworld come from the New 52 incarnation of the character.
- This is Eclipso's debut in DC animated media.
- Eclipso is similar to another DCSHG villain Cythonna, with her presence being restricted to a crystal, which can influence the minds of others through touch and proximity.
- Unlike the other villains in the DC Super Hero Girls web series, Eclipso has no redeeming qualities and is not unintentionally heinous as she perfectly knows what she is doing while she is incredibly sadistic than the other DCSHG antagonists. She is also the only DCSHG villain who was close to killing the Super Hero Girls and their allies as well as the only villain who attempted murder on screen.
- While Eclipso lacks a doll in the main toyline, she does get a LEGO minifigure in the LEGO line.
