Eddie Little is an old criminal and former friend of Sergeant Voight's. He appeared in three episodes and would serve as an antagonist in the episode "Looking Out For Stateville".
He was portrayed by Clancy Brown, who also played Mr. Krabs from SpongeBob, Byron Hadley in The Shawshank Redemption, Ray Schoonover in Daredevil, Viking Lofgren in Bad Boys, the Kurgan in the Highlander film franchise, Lex Luthor in the DCAU and other DC animated works, Richard Hughes in Saints Row, Long Feng in Avatar the Last Airbender, The Splotch in The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants, Dark Dragon in Jake Long: American Dragon, and Yakone in The Legend of Korra.
History[]
He has been a violent criminal since youth, even doing time in Juvie and making a name for himself. In Juvie he would come to meet Rory Jenson and the two become friends, committing many crimes together. However, he ended up in prison for a manslaughter after killing shakedown artist, Gi-Gi Dicaro by snapping his neck. This was because he did a perverted thing to Jenson's sister. When police detective Hank Voight was arrested and imprisoned, Little was his cell mate. He would save Voight from getting killed when he was jumped by four men in the kitchen. Little and several other friends would come in and help Voight and from then on Voight was under his protection. Voight had previously told him of a plan he had to get out of jail, promising Little a great sum of money if he helped him survive to fulfill it. As a result, Little accepted and had Voight's back during his time in lockup, but made some enemies over protecting a cop. The two ended up becoming friends, before Voight got himself released and got his job back, while becoming a Sergeant.
Season 3[]
During Life Is Fluid, Little was visited by Voight in prison, where he sarcastically asked whether Voight was thankful to him for still being able to put on his badge. He would give Voight useful information on Derek Keyes, an infamous drug lord who has one of Voight's detectives. He only agreed to help, should Voight honor their previous deal.
In Knocked the Family Right Out, Little is subsequently released on parole and Voight as his officers Kim Burgess and Sean Roman pick him up. While driving, he and Kim got to know each other. When they arrived at the 21st District he would jokingly threatening Adam on not marrying her. He then met Erin; someone he didn't meet but knew she was someone who made Voight happy. He and Voight would catch up in his office and learned that Little know has a relationship with a woman. He tells Voight that he is ready for a normal life and Voight tells him that he will help him with that. Little would then leave with Adam telling him that he was right about Kim. Voight would later have dinner with Little and his new stepfamily. Little would tell Voight about the letter that she wrote to him in prison and then they made a relationship. Voight would tell them that he met his late wife Camille Voight, in a suicide situation. They would all say cheers. Little would ask Hank about becoming a CI because of the pay they would get and tells Voight that he might call him tomorrow.
In Looking Out For Stateville, Little would come into Voight's office to discuss the money that Little would be receiving as a CI. Voight tells his team that Little had valuable information on Rory Jenson. However, Emma Crowley would come in and tell Voight in private about Little and tells Voight that if things go wrong, he is to arrest Little. The intelligence unit would go into a motorcycle clubhouse and obtain Jenson's coke thanks to the info Little gave them. However, Little is not satisfied with the 4K he received from the operation. When Voight suggests too Little to take the job, he offered him, Little refuse arguing that it would take him way too long to get the cash he needs. Voight tells Little to just go back to his girls and that they would talk later. A man would later go knocking on the family's door posing as FBI. Little would shoot the man but because he is not allowed to possess a firearm both he and Voight have his girlfriend put her fingerprints on the weapon. The family would be moved into protective custody with the girl, Tracy being very made about all of this. Little would come back to the 21st District and tells them that he can meet up with a Heavy hitter Henry Yu. He tells the intelligence unit that he needs 20 grand to talk to Yu, but Voight insists on 10 grand. Little would meet Yu and would ask him were the 25 boys put their cocaine in. However, Yu does not accept the money as he knows Little is imbibed with the police. Little then threatens to have Yu's son killed in prison as he is serving time for domestic violence, something that is overhead by Voight and Dawson. Yu would give Little an address and the intelligence unit would come and arrest all the people they can find in the building. Little would be with his stepfamily until he came into Voight's office to discuss the large amount of money he now has. However, Little is still not satisfied and after a lot of arguing Voight decides to go after Rory Jenson with Little's help. Dawson would confront Voight about this, but Voight gives Dawson his reasons. Both Little and Voight go to see Rory Jenson and they make a deal with him. They would bring him back his coke and get Narcotics off his back. Jenson excepts the deal and sets up a place to make the exchange. Little and Voight would go to a restaurant, and Little is very confident that everything will turn out fine even ignoring Voight's warnings that something bad might happen. While, preparing for the exchange Mouse tries to put a pinhole camera on Little but he refuses because he is worried that Jenson might notice. He would then go to Erin Lindsay and tells her to stay out of his family's business when Jay Halstead comes and has Little leave in the car. While making the exchange with Jenson, Little brings up Dicaro trying to make Jenson feel like he owes him. Jenson gives him the money after seeing the bag of cocaine and Jenson tells Little to live his life. Little would leave his spot with the money as the intelligence unit would announce themselves and arrested Jenson and his people. After Voight has confirmation that they got Jenson, He and Little get inside his car and prepare to go back to the district to voucher the money. Unfortunately, for Voight, Little holds him at gunpoint and tells him that they are not going to the 21st District. Little has Voight drive under a bridge where he has an empty truck waiting. Little would take Voight's gun and has him step out of his car. Voight asks Little if taking his stepfamily is part of the plan, but Little reveals that it isn't. Little would then break his phone and shoot Voight's tires. However, when Little opens the door to his truck, Dawson is in one of the seats with his gun pointed at him. Little tries to get out of it by suggesting to Voight that they just call it even, but Voight is adamant, and Dawson puts Little in handcuffs. When they are in the district Little tells Voight that he just had to try. Voight tells Little that he is a big picture guy but just was never good at the details with Little saying that he would leave that to Voight as he sits in the cage. Little's family would still get the cash that Little made as a CI with the girlfriend being upset about Little.
