Edward "Eddie" Pietro is a recurring character in the HBO Television Series The Sopranos.
He is a well-respected soldier in the New York Italian-American Lupertazzi Crime Family and is a part of the Millio Crew. He is normally seen near caporegime Rusty Millio as he is his bodyguard and is almost always protecting him.
He was portrayed by Nick Annunziata.
Biography[]
At some point in the 1990's or 2000's, Eddie Pietro was recruited to the Lupertazzi Family and joined the Millio Crew. Eventually, Eddie was made and was placed under the role of a bodyguard for Rusty, however, it is unknown if this was because there was no one else to take the job or that Eddie and Rusty may have had a close friendship and due to their ages, it also implies that Rusty may act like a father figure to Eddie, the same way Tony Soprano was to Christopher Moltisanti.
In 2004, a group of Mafia members are released from prison during the same year, dubbing them as the "Class of 2004". Around this time, Don Carmine Lupertazzi dies of a stroke and underboss Johnny Sacrimoni and captain Carmine Lupertazzi Jr. fight for the role of boss. Eddie, along with Rusty and the rest of his crew that Little Carmine's side. Throughout this season, Eddie is seen mostly driving people around, as seen at Raymond Curto's funeral and Johnny's daughter's wedding. Two years later, two Italian hitmen are sent by Tony and Johnny Sack to murder Rusty and due to Eddie being his bodyguard, Eddie is shot in the head in their car just before Rusty is murdered as well.
