Edgar is a minor antagonist of the manga/anime series Spy × Family. He is the father of a woman named Karen and leader of a nameless Ostanian criminal organization that plots to tip the scales of the Cold War against Westalis.
He was voiced by Atsushi Ono in the Japanese and R. Bruce Elliot in English.
Appearance[]
Edgar is a middle aged man of average height, he has blond hair, blue eyes, and a beard. He wears a white shirt under a blue suit, and has a red tie on his neck.
Personality[]
Nothing is known about Edgar's personality, but he often acts like a generic mob boss who hates wealthy people and aristocrats who revels in his own status, while he is very careful towards her daughter and always blame for him if she commited some crimes.
Biography[]
After the death of one of WISE's diplomats in a car accident in Ostania, the chief provides proof to a mysterious man that the foreign minister wears a toupee as its being blown by the wind. Disguised, Twilight takes the pictures and the negatives, stating they can now force him to resign and leaves in a car. Edgar later comes to take the pictures, as he take it. Twilight later disguises under the name of "Robert" is out on a date and Karen, his date. complains that her father was in a bad mood, since someone had stolen the toupee pictures. As she sees a man proposing to a her and asks if she wants to marry her.
Meanwhile, when Anya gets bored at home. She sneaks into Loid's secret room and knows the code for it because she has read it from his mind - and finds the communications device there. He makes a call from it, which is intercepted by the last organization led by Edgar. When Loid returns home, he notices that someone undesirable in the apartment. He goes inside and quickly deals with enemies. He also realizes that Anya has disappeared. It turns out that people who intercepted the call have kidnapped her and plan to use her as a hostage. They want to force Twilight to steal the foreign minister's wig.
Suddenly, Nguyen one of Edgar's henchmen attempts to attack Loid, but ends up beaten into the ground, crew that are about to capture Loid. Meanwhile, Loid disguised as Nguyen takes Anya and escapes, with Twilight mentioning that he hates kids crying because it reminds him of his own past, where he was alone and helpless with he discovering that Edgar shoot one of his henchmen in cold blood, able to only cry. After getting out of the building, he gives her a note and tells Anya to run away. He gives her a note that is supposed to allow her to get into a better orphanage and tells her to go with her to the police. She leaves and Loid goes to deal with the other Edgar's henchmen. He activates a smoke cloud and defeats most of them, He then points a gun at Edgar's head and asks him how Karen is, making Edgar wonder how he knows his daughter, Loid tries to shoot Edgar, but instead he leaves him alone in the building if he wants Karen to have a normal life as Edgar was never seen again after this.

- Edgar is so far the only character and, by extent, the only villain in the series to have truly found out about Loid Forger's true identity as Twilight, but due to him having been threatened, it's likely Edgar will guard this secret with him forever out of fear Twilight might go after him and his family.
