Criminal: UK[]

Edgar sits in the questioning room facing allegations of the murder and sexual assault of his 14-year-old daughter, Nicky. He refuses to answer any question the interrogators ask, responding solely with "no comment". Interrogator Tony tells Edgar that just because he says "no comment" does not exonerate him.

The interrogators show Fallon photos from the crime scene. Here, investigator Paul Ottager tells Fallon that he will still be charged, and at trial will almost certainly be found guilty, especially with his "no comment" responses. Edgar snaps at this, and begins accusing Nicky's netball coach of killing her. He reveals Nicky had told Edgar about the relationship, and the two had a physical fight.

With three minutes left to get a confession, receipts for petrol and a car cleaning as well as other evidence such as marks on Nicky's cast that match the pattern on a rug in Edgar's boot heavily indicate Edgar had kidnapped Nicky. Here, the detectives deduce their understanding of the story, that Nicky had threatened Edgar that she was going to go public about the affair. Scared, Nicky is abducted by Edgar, who kills with with a spade, splitting her skull into seventeen pieces.
