Biography[]
Overall, Edge won thirty-one championships in WWE, including eleven World Championships, the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Champion, a record seven times-five Intercontinental Championships, one United States Championship, 14 world tag team championships (a record twelve World Tag Team Championships and two WWE Tag Team Championships). He also had an unofficial co-champion reign with Mick Foley as Hardcore Champion. He also won the 2001 King of the Ring tournament, the first Mr. Money in the Bank in 2005 and 2007 when he defeated Mr.Kennedy, which he is also the winner of the match to reclaim and cash in the contract, thus becoming the first to cash in and win both world titles; and the Royal Rumble in 2010, making him the only wrestler in history to achieve all three of those accomplishments. He headlined many major, pay-per-view events for WWE, including Wrestlemania XXIV.
Edge was an opportunistic manipulator for most of his WWE career. Hated by the fans, he cheated and bent the rules to win and retain any championships he laid his hands on. He also married Vickie Guerrero and used her to keep his title reign ongoing until she resigned as General Manager of Smackdown, prompting Edge to immediately demand a divorce.
Edge was also a comedic wrestler at times, as he once destroyed a laptop that an anonymous General Manager of Raw used to run the show. This act caused him to win the Meltdown of the Year Slammy award.
However, Edge retired a babyface (good guy) due to a feud with Alberto Del Rio (possibly started when Alberto injured Edge's best friend, Christian).
Edge is also returned in 2019 at the SummerSlam kickoff show when Elias is playing guitar, and he spears him.
Edge returned full time at the 2020 Royal Rumble, during the Royal Rumble match at Number 21, spearing multiple people.
He has gone on to feud with Roman Reigns and Randy Orton and is currently in a rivalry with Seth Rollins but as a babyface.
On the February 21, 2022, episode of Raw, Edge reflected on all the WrestleMania moments in his career and then he issued an open challenge for WrestleMania 38. The following week, his challenge was accepted by AJ Styles, to which Edge responded by performing a low blow on Styles before hitting him with a one-man con-chair-to, turning heel for the first time since 2010. At the event on April 3, Edge defeated Styles following a distraction by Damian Priest. Following WrestleMania, Edge and Priest revealed The Judgment Day as the name of the team. At WrestleMania Backlash, despite Priest being barred from ringside, Edge defeated Styles again after interference from a masked individual, later revealed to be Rhea Ripley, who became the stable's newest member.
At Hell in a Cell on June 5, The Judgment Day defeated Styles, Finn Bálor, and Liv Morgan in a six-person mixed tag team match. The next night on Raw, Edge introduced Bálor as the newest member of The Judgment Day, however, Bálor, Priest, and Ripley suddenly attacked Edge with his own signature con-chair-to move, kicking him out of the group. The following week on the June 13 episode of Raw, Ripley, Priest and Balor appeared on the titantron interrupting Bianca Belair's interview in the ring where they explained their actions and declared that the group was going to consist of equality with no leaders.
