Eduardo Guillermo is a supporting antagonist in the final season of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
He is the younger brother of Ignacio Guillermo who belongs from the clan of powerful corrupt officials and charismatic crime lords known as the Guillermo clan. He was also an outcast of the Guillermo Crime Family after stealing his family’s wealth for gambling and vices but later returned for his plan to manipulate his elder brother and neice. Later on, he became an ally of Renato Hipolito, Arturo Padua, and Lucio Santanar.
He is played by Roi Vinzon who also played General Armando Soriano in My Husband’s Lover, William Romero in Black Rider, and Brando Mondragon in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.
Biography[]
Born as the youngest child of the Guillermo Clan from the North, he was raised organizing crimes in their area. He joins with his brother Don Ignacio terrorizing a fishing village in attempt to recover Aurora Guillermo from Oscar Hidalgo. At some point, he was kicked out in the family after he wasted all their wealth for gambling.
Years later, he learns that his nephew Aurora has returned backed from United States and Don Ignacio was in critical state, hatching scheme to manipulate them for his goal to steal the family’s wealth. He pretended to reconcile with his brother by saving Aurora from his staged attempted abduction. Ignacio accepted him back to the family, only that he is manipulating Ignacio and Aurora for his own plans. He abducts Aurora pretending to be Lito Valmoria whom became the business rival of Don Ignacio but his plan was ultimately backfired after Aurora managed to escape from his goons.
One night Armando and his band of assassins raided and burned Don Ignacio alive, he managed to escape and met Renato Hipolito and Arturo Padua forming connections. With Don Ignacio’s death, he became the financer of Renato Hipolito in the North. The day Pres. Oscar Hidalgo returned to presidency exposing Lily Anne Cortez, Renato Hipolito, and Arturo Padua for their corruption he joined forces with Lucio Santanar as part of Renato’s plan by betraying Arturo. During a Mission of Task Force Agila to exterminate Hipolito and Sntanae, he attempted to rape Roxanne but Maj. Basco knocked him down with a rock resulting his death.
Personality[]
Eduardo is observed to be selfish individual, wherein he is introduced to be obsessed by his family’s wealth and was threatened to his neice, Aurora’s return in the Philippines for be the next heir of their wealth. He is manipulative individual as he was able to manipulate his elder brother by means of pretending his companion and abducted his own niece as part of his schemes. After the death of his elder brother, instead of sympathizing his death, he took the opportunity to obtain their family’s wealth projecting that he really dosen’t care about his elder brother. This was also observed in his introduction, where he learns that Don Ignacio was in critical condition stating that he has been waiting for this opportunity.
Upon making partnership with Renato Hipolito and Arturo Padua, he became a loyal associate by sharing his resources for their domination. His loyalty to the organization also made Renato to trust him more than Arturo in the later episodes. Despite his loyalty to Renato, the latter unsympathized his death and stated that he was useless after all.
Before his death, it was seen that he is a perverted individual as he tried to take advantage Roxanne after being violated by Santanar by raping her.
