Agent Edward Lott was a CEO of a consumer manufacturing company and secretly an agent working for Checkmate in the CW TV series Smallville. He appeared as a major antagonist in the Season 9 episode "Checkmate".
He was portrayed by Timothy E. Brummond, who also voiced Megabyte in ReBoot: The Guardian Code.

At some point in his life, Lott became an agent of Checkmate while being a consumer company CEO.
Checkmate[]
Edward Lott participated in a mission with other agents for Checkmate; he was to capture Tess Mercer supposedly. Tess disguised herself with a dark wig and clothing and walked through the streets but was spotted by Lott and another female agent who attacked her.
They followed Tess and Lott cornered her at the train tracks, but before he could shoot Tess, Green Arrow intervened. In reality, they were all in on the kidnapping as a ploy to draw out the Green Arrow in an attempt to capture him. After a short spat about "black-on-black" wardrobe, Green Arrow tasered Lott who fell unconscious.
Sometime later, Agent Lott was leaving his office when he was approached by Detective John Jones who demanded to know the location of Checkmate's castle. Lott refused to tell him anything and fired his gun, but failed to injure him due to the Martian's powers. After trying to shoot John, Lott seemed to comply, but instead committed suicide by biting on a hidden cyanide pill and fell to the ground.
John read his memory quickly and discovered the location of Checkmate's castle just before Lott died. Chloe Sullivan eventually tracked down Lott's ear piece which John Jones had, and learned that Lott was deceased, now on a slab in the morgue after last being seen alive with Jones.
