Edward Weevil (in Japanese: エドワード・ウィーブル, Edowādo Wīburu) self-proclaimed as "Whitebeard Jr.", is a supporting antagonist in the manga/anime series, One Piece. He is a powerful pirate and former member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, joining some time after the two year timeskip. He is responsible for the destruction of the remaining Whitebeard Pirates, as well as seeks to avenge Whitebeard, the man whom he perceives to be his father.
He is voiced by Kōzō Shioya in the Japanese version of the anime and Brook Chalmers in its English dub, the latter also provided the voice of Stormterror from Genshin Impact.
Personality[]
Edward Weevil is focused on avenging his deceased alleged father, Whitebeard, being convinced that Whitebeard is his biological father from Buckingham Stussy, his mother. Weevil is violent and destructive by how he tracked and murdered many people with connections to Whitebeard. He has no regards for anyone and believes that killing people associated with Whitebeard and over 600 civilians is justified.
Despite being an adult, Weevil is immature even in his own age, referring to his mother as "mommy" and has the tendency to have an accent identical to that of a young child. He also lacks the grasp of family concept that his alleged father regards; while Whitebeard view the value of friendship and comradery as family, Weevil only believes family literally through bloodline. He also has no care for the collateral damage he causes and the people he displaced with his rampage.
Despite his cruelty, Edward Weevil shows that he is obedient to his mother, Buckin. Unlike Buckin, who is motivated by her greed and desire of wanting Whitebeard's inheritance, Weevil is motivated by his rage and vengeance of Whitebeard's death. Weevil does have a sense of honor, however, as he genuinely respects Whitebeard and the remnants of his property left behind, protecting the land of Sphinx and its inhabitants from the Marines, since it was the native home village of his alleged father.

Weevil was born 35 years ago to Buckingham Stussy.
At some point after the Marineford War and the removal of Gecko Moria, Marshall D. Teach, and Jinbe from the Seven Warlords of the sea positions, Edward Weevil received a position within the Seven Warlords system, along with Buggy the Clown and Trafalgar Water D. Law.
After knowing about the death of Whitebeard, Weevil sought out vengeance against the pirates that played a part in his death, Blackbeard and the Blackbeard Pirates. He is also interested in finding Monkey D. Luffy.
Since then, Weevil, with the guidance of his mother, Buckin, searches for the allies of the Whitebeard Pirates in the New World, proclaiming himself to be Whitebeard's true son. In the process, he ends up killing many people and destroying towns.
Plot[]
Zou Arc[]
Recent news of Weevil's rampage is reported to one of the admirals, Kizaru. Weevil emerges from another town he destroyed after finding another ally of the Whitebeard Pirates. He talks to his mother about his resolve and his vengeance. However, his mother is not interested in his talk of vengeance and is more interested in getting Whitebeard's inheritance money for herself.
Buckin is interested in the recent news about Luffy who at the time defeated Donquixote Doflamingo in Dressrosa. Bakkin and Weevil left the city in search for more people connected to Whitebeard.
Wano Country Arc[]
Following the Levely Closure, the Seven Warlords were officially disbanded, reverting the remaining members as wanted pirates once more, including Weevil. Weevil and his mother were then later under attack by the Marines. Seeing no other options, Buckin gave Weevil the command to kill them all, causing Weevil to be get very excited.
Egghead Arc[]
At some point, after Marco had left to the Wano Country, Sphinx Island was under attack by the Marines who are attempting to steal their food. However, Weevil arrived in time to defend its residents from their attack. The Marines eventually called in Admiral Ryokugyu in backing them up, who then was able to capture Weevil and take him away.
