Biography[]
Season 1[]
Edwin was one of the many people to join Cobra Kai after witnessing Miguel Diaz beat Kyler Park in a fight at his school. During the class, Johnny Lawrence, the Sensei ridiculed and mocked most of the new students which caused most of them to Leave. However Edwin stayed. He and Tim were among the students whose flinching caused all the Cobras to receive facial punches, with the exception of Miguel and Aisha. He and numerous other Cobra Kai members are seen practicing in the junkyard while being pursued by dogs. Edwin was invited to the party at the cliff the evening before the All Valley Karate Tournament and was observed drinking and having fun there. He most likely witnessed Miguel and Sam's breakup that evening. He is one of the students who raced outside screaming Cobra Kai on the day of the All Valley after hearing Johnny's lecture about No Mercy. Since he isn't pictured battling alongside many other pupils, it is unknown how far he advanced in the competition. This suggests that, as a novice fighter, he may have been eliminated by a competing dojo during the preliminary rounds. He is still seen watching the matches, and he even cheers when Miguel Diaz triumphs over Robby Keene in the championship match, restoring Cobra Kai to prominence.
Season 2[]
Edwin has a slightly bigger role this season but still has no lines. After Miguel's victory at the All-Valley tournament, he goes out to dinner with a large group of Cobra Kai members. He is seen alongside Abe and Kev behind Hawk and Aisha. The following day, he and the other Cobra Kai members act foolishly and receive a reprimand from Johnny. The Cobra Kai are perplexed as to why John Kreese is in the Dojo when he arrives the following day. But throughout the warm-up period, Edwin can be seen having fun once more, which infuriates Johnny. Despite not being one of the kids that turned the truck, he is seen at the cement yard. Edwin is one of the students who broke into Daniel LaRusso’s Dojo and still Mr. Miyagi's medal of honor. Edwin is present at the end of the season when John Kreese takes back the dojo from Johnny and kicks him out.
Season 3[]
Edwin is present at the Laser Tag arena where they track down Demitri. He is one of the many who convinces Hawk to break Demetri's arm.
Season 4[]
Edwin stays loyal to Cobra Kai when Terry Silver gets John Kreese arrested and takes over Cobra Kai.
Season 5[]
Edwin is seen mostly following Kyler around. He has his first line this season "Bitches!", which is just a repetition of Kyler's line. He ends up quitting Cobra Kai after Silver has been exposed.
Season 6[]
After Cobra Kai's shut down, Edwin joins Miyagi-Do. He trains with them for the Sekai Taikai but is unfortunately not chosen to go to Barcelona. Nonetheless, he is still training with the dojo.
Personality[]
Edwin is very much a follower, as is proven throughout the series; he has no independent moment to himself. He joins Cobra Kai because of watching Miguel Diaz and is loyal to Johnny Lawrence. In the second season he is one of Hawk's minions and does whatever Hawk tells him to do, even if that means breaking into private property. He also still remains loyal to Cobra Kai even after Johnny Lawrence was kicked out and replaced with John Kreese, and then again by Terry Silver. Him being a follower is also demonstrated by his one line use being him repeating another character's line.
Trivia[]
- Edwin joined Cobra Kai after watching Miguel Diaz take down the school bully Kyler Park. Ironically enough, by Season 5, he is one of Kyler's followers and friends.
