With my army of burning mummies, I will conquer the Middle East and take my place as the Pharaoh of Fire!
~ Efrit

Efrit is the main antagonist of the second eponymous episode from the series Legend Quest: Masters of Myths. He is a fire genie who protected King Tut sovereignty thousands of years ago during the ancient Egypt until he resigned from that position when he proposed to want to supplant pharaoh successor, being locked in a bottle for attempting to seize the throne.

He was voiced by Erick Selim in Spanish and Brock Powell in English.

Appearance[]

The Efrit is an imposing, muscular figure with dark green skin, black eyes with glowing pupils, black hair and beard, and two horns on his head. He wears a golden helmet with black stripes like a pharaoh's helmet and his arms are filled with golden bracelets. He has no feet, but from the waist down his body floats made of fire.

Personality[]

Efrit is an ambitious and ruthless being who only wants to reign over all of Egypt. His anger at having been imprisoned makes him want to destroy anyone who dares to stop him.

Powers and Abilities[]

The Efrit is able to produce strands that not only immobilize humans, but can also neutralize ghosts, astral projections, and other beings with Senergy (Supernatural Energy). This is later weaponized by Brother MaGuffin, as shown in Episode 12.

Biography[]

Also known as a Fire Genie, the Efrit once served King Tutankhamun of Egypt. But after King Tut's passing at a young age and succession by Ay, the Efrit took a dislike to the new king and attempted to rule Egypt himself as a Fire Pharoh. The Efrit was originally imprisoned in a magic bottle, which was then sealed in King Tut's tomb to ensure that he can never escape. Then humans snuck into the tomb and foolishly broke the bottle, freeing the fire genie to once again wreak havoc.

The Efrit leads one, controlling the minds of some of the people in Egypt, including Brotherhood contact Tariq, so they'll help him with his plans. Using the Factory of the Undead, the Efrit's minions gather skeletons, reassemble them, wrap them in cloth, and coat them in fire jelly to become Fire Mummies and they attempt to do the same to Team Legend. They also serve souvenir jars of fire jelly for some reason.

He begins to elaborate when suddenly, Brother MaGuffin shows up and freezes the fire genie mid-sentence. Since the Efrit is a Fire Genie with an army of Fire Mummies, the logical solution that The Brotherhood comes up with is Freeze Grenades that can freeze fire. This is how Leo defeats the Fire Genie. Begging for his release The Efrit offers to "tell the truth" about the Brotherhood. Engineering a Shape-Shifter Showdown with Alebrije as Efrit's opponent and Marcella using her magic to help, Leo manages to get the Efrit to assume the form of a teensy fly just small enough to be trapped in a bottle once again.

After the capture of the genie, he was taken to the lair of the Brotherhood locking him inside the tube of a machine that drains his senergy. He was freed along with the other creatures by Leo and his team to help them defeat Coyolxāuhqui; accepting with resignation knowing that he cannot enslave anyone if the world is in danger.
