Eigong (易公) is the main antagonist of Red Candle Games' 2024 Metroidvania videogame Nine Sols.
She is the leader of the Tiandao Council, who is a scientist wanting to find a way to achieve immortality. She is Yi's former mentor and archenemy, carrying the Sol Seal of Knowledge.
She was voiced by Kuo Fu Tsui.

Past[]
Eigong was a scientist seeking a way to achieve immortality. After using the Fusang Tree's regenerative genes and Solarian's cells, she unfortunately created the virus called Tuanho, causing infection across Penglai.
Eigong was forced to travel externally to help treat the patients who were infected with the virus. Taking advantage of this, she planned to form the best candidates to submit loyalty to her. The first one was Yi, due to the accident of the Mystic Nymph. She hoped that Yi could submit her theory due to him being revived by Fusang Roots.
However, there was no cure for the virus, but Eigong believed that it is a factor bestowing their intelligence. She decided to initiate Yi's Eternal Cauldron Project, where it is about separating the infected and those who aren't with the Soulscape System by Lady Ethereal. Ji caught her attention due to his disease immunity, allowing her to continue with her experimentation. She also promised Nuwa to cure her infected brother, Fuxi, about the vaccination. Eventually the departure of Penglai to New Kunlun happened.
When Yi found out about her true goal, Eigong managed to convince the rest of the council to be on her side. She got him severely damaged and let him fall from a cliff, which took him 500 years to recover.
Eventually the cure proved to be ineffective, turning Fuxi and the Dusk Guardians - including Chien - into mindless zombies. They spread across the planet, with Eigong continued with such acts while infecting herself with the virus, believing it will be a way of achieving immortality.

Normal Ending[]
The normal ending featured Yi fighting Eigong with two phases, and after Eigong's defeat, she respected his skills, allowed him to carry her legacy, and died due to being badly injured.
True Ending[]
After Yi entered Eigong's Soulscape, Eigong tricked Yi and took all of the Sol Seals from him. She then exited and sent her army to attack Yi and his friends.
Yi then finally encountered Eigong face-to-face at the core of the Fusang Roots. Yi fought her just like the normal ending, but after that, Eigong revealed that she infected with the Virus and enhanced her skills. When Eigong was defeated, she fused herself with the Roots by committing suicide, turning it into a pinkish eye and proceeded to consume all of New Kunlun to bring a new dawn to this world. Yi, having no other choice but to leave final words to his friends, while using the Rhizomatic Bomb to destroy the core, sacrificing himself in the process while ending her reign for good.
