El Supremo is the catalyst villain in the Chick Tract Fat Cats.
Biography[]
El Supremo is the dictator of an unspecified South American country, and brutally oppresses his people, living the high life with his cronies while allowing the populace to starve. At the beginning of the tract, his lead general informs him of signs of a revolution in San Marcos. El Supremo responds by ordering him to "crush them", before uncaringly moving on to dessert. This leads to the destruction of San Marcos.
However, this proves to be El Supremo's downfall as a communist leader named Carlos uses the atrocity to provoke an uprising against El Supremo's government (backed by the Catholic Church). Carlos takes the capital within weeks and El Supremo and his staff are summarily shot for their crimes. All of them presumably go to Hell.
Unfortunately Carlos soon proves to be no better than El Supremo, and establishes a near identical communist dictatorship which persecutes and kills Christians and rules in exactly the same way El Supremo did.
