Eleanor Hooks
Eleanor Hooks is the main antagonist in the 2000 film The Art of War.
She is portrayed by Anne Archer.
Biography[]
Hooks is the boss of Neil Shaw, who works as an operative for the United Nations' covert dirty-tricks squad. She is secretly the mastermind behind a conspiracy and she orders Robert Bly, an assassin in her employ and a former friend of Shaw, to kill Chinese Ambassador Wu at a Chinese New Year party. After discovering that Hooks is behind the conspiracy, Shaw kills Bly and makes a business proposition with the Chinese Triad to assassinate Hooks for her betrayal.
Later on, Shaw phones Hooks in her limousine and tells her that "what goes around, comes around" before hanging up, just as Hooks' driver reveals himself to be a Triad assassin and promptly shoots her in the head.
