Elemer, also known as Elemer of the Briar and the Bell Bearing Hunter, is a reoccurring but minor antagonist in the RPG video game Elden Ring. As he is an optional boss, it is not required for the player to defeat him in order to continue further into the main storyline.
Appearance[]
Elemer wears metal armor and an iron mask that are both wrapped in iron barbed wires, making them look like thorns, which are marks of the guilty and of those that were executed. He also has a greatshield on his back which too is covered in barbed wires .
Personality[]
Not much is known of Elemer's personality but he is shown to be extremely aggressive. He seemingly takes enjoyment in murdering innocent merchants and peddlers and stealing their bell bearings, though it is unknown as to why he would do so.
Biography[]
Elemer was born in the land of Eochaid, which is proudly known for its solitary ascetics. Elemer was slated for execution by House Marias, a family of executioners, for unknown crimes but he evaded his sentence by stealing the executioner's sword before furnishing the blade with combat skills he had learned from his homeland. He then proceeded to slaughter numerous merchants, peddlers and instructors before taking their bell bearings, earning the moniker Bell Bearing Hunter.
Elden Ring[]
Elemer can be found in the Castellan's Hall of the Shaded Castle, the home of House Marias, which was where his unsuccessful execution took place. Elemer also appears in various locations across the Lands between, which typically involves merchants. In battle, Elemer can channel energy into his sword, allowing him to send it towards the player and even control it. In addition, he can also fire a red beam. If Elemer is defeated, then the player can purchase the Briar Set, which includes Elemer's armor, great shield and sword from Finger Reader Enia in Roundtable Hold.
