Elias is a supporting character and overarching antagonist in Superstore. He is a serial killer who removes people's feet and leaves them at his place of work, Cloud 9.
He is portrayed by Danny Gura.
Biography[]
Elias was an associate of Cloud 9 Store 1217. He loves snack foods and is also the store's fire marshal. He's the brother of Jerusha Sturgis. He is revealed to be the "foot killer" by the end of Season 6 Episode 15 All Sales Final.
Season 2[]
At the end of Season 2, a tornado destroys the Cloud 9 store in which the series was set. This was an important moment in Superstore as it sets several events in motion. Jonah and Amy express their deep-seated emotions for each other for the first time. Mateo has to admit to himself and everyone else that he still has feelings for Jeff, and Cheyenne finally finds her green hair thingie in the rubble.
Amazingly, no one is severely injured or dead, though Glenn's car is destroyed yet again. The staff realizes that Brett has gone missing and is assumed dead in the tornado. They eventually find out that he has just gone home. Furthermore, after the tornado, the first foot is found in the parking lot in Season 3, Episode 2, and the assumption is that it belonged to Brett. His return with both feet attached killed off that theory quickly.
Seasons 3-6[]
Throughout the next few seasons, more severed feet keep popping up at the store, leading to a lot of wild speculation. Their consistent appearance near Cloud 9 Store #1217 leads to the standing theory that an employee is responsible for these crimes. In Season 6, Episode 14, the culprit ups the ante by leaving a duffle bag containing eight more severed feet in the store.
The episode that followed was the series finale. Echoing the pilot, Garrett's voice-over describes his feelings about the store while a montage of clips shows what happens to everyone. One of those clips reveals the identity of the person leaving the feet. It is Elias, a long-time store associate who has appeared in 106 out of 113 episodes and barely speaks a line the entire time.
In those final moments, Elias pops up in a quiet corner of the store, pulls a foot out from his Cloud 9 vest, and carefully places it on a shelf.
