Elizabeth Bathory is a major antagonist in the Syfy series Van Helsing. She was originally a fortune teller and vampire hunter from the past who was sired by Michaela into becoming The Oracle, a powerful psychic vampire and one of Dracula's bridesmaids.
In her original form, Bathory was portrayed by Jesse Stanley. In Avery's form, she was portrayed by Anna Galvin.

Centuries ago, Bathory was trained by her mother since childhood to become a vampire hunter. In adulthood, she began working as a fortune teller in Transylvania, while also joined a group of vampire hunters. However, she was eventually turned into a vampire and blinded by Michaela to serve Dracula (aka the Dark One) as one of his brides.
In the 20th century, Bathory guided young Sam down the path of darkness so that he would become an elder in the future. She later also guided the Van Helsing sisters (unbeknownst to them) to one day free Dracula from his prison.

Powers and abilities[]
- Magic: Before being turned into a vampire, Bathory was a fortune teller with supernatural sensitivity to occult activities and mystic phenomena.
- Precognition: She used tarot cards to interpret what she senses, and was also able to tell the future of others.
- Psychic abilities: Bathory could read and manipulate minds, both humans and vampires.
- Telekinesis: Bathory could move, levitate and otherwise manipulate objects using her psychic energy in a remote manner.
- Vampirism: As a vampire, Bathory's physical abilities such as strength, speed, agility, durability, healing and senses all grow stronger with age and experience. Like others of her species, she also can turn other beings into vampires.
- Superhuman strength: Bathory possesses great levels of strength, allowing her to easily slaughter a normal person.
- Superhuman speed: Bathory can move at great speeds. Her reflexes are also equally sharp.
- Superhuman durability: Bathory was highly resistant to physical damage. Normal bullets, blades weapons and even bombs cannot scratch her.
- Superhuman endurance: Bathory could fight her enemies for prolonged periods of time without getting tired or worn out. She also had an extremely high pain tolerance.
- Shapeshifting: Bathory could take on the appearance of other people or cast illusions that make herself look like another person.
- Immortality: Due to her vampire physiology, Bathory has not visibly aged since her tranformation in the past and has remained in the same form ever since.
- Accelerated Healing: Bathory had the ability to heal herself from the wounds or diseases of others or themselves.

- Although based on the historical figure of the same name, this version of Bathory has several differences from her original counterpart. For example, in the series she was not a hungarian noblewoman, but rather a Transylvanian fortune teller and vampire hunter until she was transformed into a vampire.
