~ Elon Musk announcing his plans to terraform Mars. |
Elon Musk is the overarching antagonist in Season 3 of the alternate history analog horror series THE MONUMENT MYTHOS, the first installment in the franchise of the same name.
Like his real life counterpart, Elon had become fascinated with the idea of terraforming Mars into a habitable planet for mankind. Because of the Department of Technology's futuristic advancements, he was able to accomplish this goal much earlier in the Deanverse. Having enslaved Canyon Crowns to aid him in his trip to Mars, Musk somehow discovered a brand new mineral akin to Giza Glass in the planet's ice caps, which he creatively dubbed the Mars Glass. Musk used his Crowns to mine and extract the mineral, turning the mine into the biggest monument in America.
When he was finally about to begin his terraforming plans by nuking the planet's ice caps, Musk hit his own mine, inadvertently releasing The Martian Serpent.
Biography[]

Elon Musk on Mars as seen by a live broadcast.
Elon Musk is a billionaire, and the owner of TWTTR by the year 2023, and was the first person to reach Mars on an one-man mission.
He discovered Martian Glass, a material similar to Giza Glass found in Mars' ice caps, and set up a gigantic mine to harvest it, which became America's largest monument. The Musk Mars Mine used enslaved Canyon Crowns as miners. When one person told him he should rot in Hell with John D. Rockerfeller, he mockingly tweeted back he lived on Mars.
Musk nuked Mars's ice caps on a whim, though that's when the true source of the grass revealed itself: a second serpent, which had been lying dormant inside the planet's core because of its cold temperature, had been awakened from the sheer heat it had sustained. Enraged, the Martian Serpent tore through the planet, killing Musk in the process.
Trivia[]
- This fictionalized version of Elon Musk parodies many aspects of the real life Musk, such as his obsession with landing on Mars, his ownership of Twitter, and his "genius" ideas, which are often unethical or failures.
- Musk's enslavement of Crowns to work as miners is a very clear parody to Errol Musk's share from emerald mines in South Africa, which are often credited to be the source of Elon's wealth.
- His detonating nuclear weapons on Mars's poles may be a reference to when he suggested this exact strategy to warm the planet up.
- Musk is depicted in a very similar way to the Deanverse's John D. Rockerfeller, both being ultra wealthy men with vast resources who use enslaved Canyon Crowns as manual labour.
- While his fate is not explicitly stated in MUSKMARS, the Dwight Comics representative indicated that he died after the Martian Serpent was freed.
